EXCLUSIVE This actress REPLACES Kalki Koechlin in Rana Daggubati’s next Haathi Mere Saathi

The dashing Telugu star Rana Daggubati will feature in a film titled Haathi Mere Saathi which will have him playing an adventurous role. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, the trilingual film is being shot simultaneously in Hindi Telugu and Tamil. The Telugu version of Haathi Mere Saathi has been titled Aranya, while the Tamil version has been named Kaadan. The film also features Pulkit Samrat, Vishnu Vishal, Zoya Hussain and Kalki Koechlin in pivotal roles. However, Kalki, who will also be seen in Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy, has been replaced by another actress in Haathi Mere Saathi.

A source exclusively revealed to us that none other than Shriya Pilgaonkar has replaced Kalki in Rana’s next. She will be seen opposite Rana Daggubatti and this film will mark her debut in South Indian films. Shriya is already off to jungles of Kerala to shoot this trilingual drama since Kalki Koechlin couldn’t do the film owing to date issues. Haathi Mere Saathi is being bankrolled by Eros International in all the three languages. The film is a tribute to the 1971 classic film Haathi Mere Saathi starring Rajesh Khanna and Tanuja but nothing in terms of the script or content is similar. It works on the ideologies of elephants and humans being friends. Rana Daggubati is currently in Kerala for the film’s shoot.
