EXCLUSIVE: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor's Fanney Khan to go on floors on this day

Fanney Khan is being directed by Atul Manjrekar. The shooting of the movie was supposed to commence in August itself with Aishwarya joining the team by the end of the month. However now, the movie will go on floors on a different day.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor will be having an onscreen reunion after many years in Fanney Khan which will see both the actors portraying the role of singers. The movie is being helmed by Atul Manjrekar and is co-produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, KriArj Entertainment and T-Series.

The shooting of the movie was supposed to commence in August itself with Aishwarya joining the team by the end of the month. However now, the movie will go on floors on a different day.

A source close to the production confirmed to us that the movie will go on floors on September 3.

Meanwhile, there were rumours that Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao were both approached for Fanney Khan to romance Aishwarya's character.

When we asked producer Prernaa Arora about the same, she said, "We were looking at casting. This was our wish list that we were looking at. These were the names that we thought of, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra thought of. Yes, this is not false but this is not something that we have gone ahead with. We are looking at somebody who will suit the character perfectly. So that is something that is going on and soon we will be able to come to a conclusion of who will be cast and in another 10-15 days, we should be done with it."
