While many of the renowned personalities from the world will be attending this annual fundraising event, Pinkvilla has exclusively learnt that Deepika Padukone will be leaving for the MET Gala 2019 tonight. While the theme of this year's MET Gala is Camp: Notes on Fashion, we can't wait to see what Deepika Padukone dons on the red carpet.
As per our sources, Deepika Padukone will be leaving for the MET Gala tonight. The MET Gala 2019 will see many renowned personalities from across the globe in attendance. This also includes our desi girl, Priyanka Chopra Jonas. The red carpet event will be held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, New York on Monday, May 6, 2019. Some of the renowned names who will be present at the MET Gala 2019 include Bradley Cooper, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o and many more apart from Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
Last year, Deepika had been a part of the MET Gala and stunned everyone in a red gown. This year, fans can't wait to see what the Padmaavat actress dons on the red carpet. Deepika will also be attending the Cannes Film Festival 2019 and is already prepping for the same. Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is busy shooting for her upcoming film Chhapaak in Mumbai. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the film is based on the life of the most known acid-attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. In the film, Deepika will be seen as Malti and her husband will be played by Vikrant Massey. The film's first schedule has been shot in Delhi and the second one is going on as of now in Mumbai. Chhapaak is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
