EXCLUSIVE: Not Kareena Kapoor Khan, THIS actress plays Saif Ali Khan's girlfriend in Jawaani Jaaneman
Speculations were rife that Saifeena, who were holidaying in London, will be teaming up together again for Nitin Kakkar's Jawaani Jaaneman. But the truth is that the makers have locked someone else to play the actor's girlfriend in the film.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan were both in London, to shoot for their respective projects. While our Nawab began shoot for Nitin Kakkar's Jawaani Jaaneman where plays an accidental father, Bebo kickstarted filming for Angrezi Medium. Soon, there were speculations about how Kareena has a special role in the family drama that revolves around the relationship between the father and the daughter.
Reports were rife that while Tabu essays the other role in the film, there's also a character of Saif's girlfriend which Kareena will step in for. But the real story is something else. "It's not a pivotal character to the plotline. The makers didn't need an A-lister to come for the same. They never discussed it with Kareena at all. There was no point of her doing or not doing it. She was never offered the part only." Jackky Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment has bankrolled the romcom.
Instead, the director locked another talented heroine opposite Saif who also happens to be someone who has worked in another project that stars the actor. "They were talking to Aditi Rao Hydari too but have eventually locked Kubbra Sait for that role. Although the screen time might not be too much, the role is special. It's about how his relationship with Kubbra also has a big effect on the dynamics that he shares with Alaia F who plays his beti in the film." The movie is currently being shot in London and is being readied to hit screens in November this year.
