Yash Chopra's birth anniversary is today and the iconic filmmaker is remembered for his super hit movies that are rewatched and loved even by the younger generation. Many actors and actresses have had the opportunity to star in a Yash Chopra produced movie but only a few have had the privilege to star in a Yash Chopra directorial. One of them being Raveena Tandon who starred in the 1993 drama Parampara.

Parampara starred Aamir Khan, Sunil Dutt, Vinod Khanna, Ashwini Bhave, Ramya Krishna, Saif Ali Khan, Raveena and Neelam Kothari and Anupam Kher and is the tale of two brothers (played by Aamir and Saif).

Today marks the legendary filmmaker Yash Ji's birth anniversary and Pinkvilla got in touch with Raveena who was all praises for him.

The actress said, "Yash ji can be called as one of the pillars of our industry. An amazingly large hearted lion of a man. Always treated his units like one big family rather than professional relationships. He is sorely missed."

That is sweet, indeed.

We also got in touch with Anushka Sharma who spoke candidly about Yash ji and said, "Yash ji was always in a good mood and laughing. During the shoot of JTHJ (Jab Tak Hai Jaan), every morning, I would come to the set and see Yash ji standing there beside the camera, getting ready for the first shot. That used to create an excitement in me. That was one my cherished memories of him."

On a piece of advice that she received from Yash ji and the actress revealed, "How you say something is more important than what you say."
