EXCLUSIVE: Sidharth Malhotra's next after Shershaah is a social family drama

It seems that Sidharth Malhotra is on the verge of signing his next, after the Vikram Batra biopic. And it will be bankrolled by T-Series.

Sidharth Malhotra's next after Shershaah is a social family drama

Sidharth Malhotra is definitely having an interesting line-up of films in the coming two years. The actor whose next film Jabariya Jodi is ready to hit screens next month, will also have another big film coming up on Gandhi Jayanti this year. After JJ, Sid will be releasing Marjaavaan that also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Tara Sutaria in leading roles. Not just that, he is also currently busy with the shoot of Vikram Batra's biopic titled Shershaah.

Says a source, "Sidharth has been offered another big project. It's a social drama about a family that will be bankrolled by T-Series' Bhushan Kumar. It is designed very commercially but will give out a strong message about an issue that plagues our society at large. Sidharth has heard the script and liked it. He has also liked the way it has been designed like a massy entertainer. He wants to do more films in the space that will reach out to a bigger audience base."

But he is yet to give his final nod to the project. "The actor will sit for another round of narration with the director. It's being helmed by an ad filmmaker who's also a first time-director. Sid has loved the idea of the film and is mostly going to give it a green signal." If that happens, this will be his immediate next after the Dharma Productions film. He has a lot of portions left to be shot for Shershaah and it seems that this movie can go on floors only towards the last quarter of 2019.
