EXCLUSIVE: Vipul Shah & Anees Bazmee to come together for Singh is Kinng Sequel; approach Akshay Kumar again
Vipul Shah and Anees Bazmee have met and finalised the subject for the Singh is Kinng sequel which will most likely star the original Singh is Kinng lead hero, Akshay Kumar.
Back in 2008, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starred in the wildly popular comedy movie, Singh is Kinng. Singh is Kinng was directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. For the past couple of years, a Singh is Kinng sequel on the works was being reported and it was also suggested that Ranveer Singh would be replacing Khiladi Kumar while the title of the sequel would be renamed as Sher Singh. However, now Pinkvilla has come to know that the Singh is Kinng sequel is very much on with Akshay Kumar in mind.
A source revealed to us that Vipul and Anees will be coming together to work on the second installment of the beloved franchise. It is learnt that the two filmmakers have met and finalised the subject for the film. While they have not yet decided who will play the lead role in the movie, there is a chance of Akshay Kumar coming back to rescue Vipul, who has been going through a rough patch. The rough patch comes in the form of Namaste England.
Namaste England, starring Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra was the second installment of Namaste London (2007) and failed miserably at the box office.
