When the Avengers: Endgame trailer dropped, featuring Captain Marvel, fans began shipping Carol Danvers and Thor. Who wouldn't? They looked so cute in the scene together. However, a few days into the release of Captain Marvel and new promos of Avengers: Endgame, fans began shipping Captain Marvel with another Avengers: Endgame character. Social media was flooded with fan artwork featuring Brie Larson's superhero bonding with Valkyrie. The character, played by Tessa Thompson, was introduced in Thor: Ragnarok. She went on to feature in Avengers: Endgame and joined the Avengers to beat Thanos.

Marvel Studios had already revealed that Valkyrie was a bisexual. When Captain Marvel was introduced sans a romantic interest in the movie, fans began shipping Captain Marvel and Valkyrie. While we hope Marvel Studios pays heed to fan requests, we learn that even the Captain Marvel directors wants the two characters to have a crossover.

Speaking to CinemaBlend, Captain Marvel directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck said that they would like to see the pair come together on the big screen. "There's been a lot of... look, I have no idea what the plans are for the future. But the speculation online about Carol and Valkyrie teaming up, I think, is a pretty cool, pretty cool idea," Fleck said. "She's one of my favorite women of Marvel," Boden added.

Fans would remember Tessa and Brie approving the shipping as well.

This is bound to make Captain Marvel and Valkyrie fans, who are rooting for the crossover, extremely happy. Meanwhile, we did see them come together for a few moments in the final battle of Avengers: Endgame. The women of the Marvel Cinematic Universe joined hands to help Spider-Man pass off the Iron Gauntlet to Iron Man. If you thought that was a mind-blowing scene, imagine how awesome it would be to watch a full-length movie featuring the two characters.

Making Captain Marvel and Valkyrie more than just friends will be like forcing a political agenda on our younger generation of viewers, like infants, kids, and not yet legal aged teenagers for example. If they proceed with making Captain Marvel and Valkyrie more than just friends, then it’s their funeral (Metaphorical Translation: “If they proceed with making Captain Marvel and Valkyrie more than just friends and they start losing views from among our younger generation of viewers because of how their parents will not enjoy them and thereby a boycott as well, then it’s their fault they did not come up with something that can be agreeable to both sides of all their viewers from different genders, ages, and sexual identities”).
