With almost nine years of marriage on the cards, Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky are one of the most steady couples in Hollywood currently. The actor stunned fans with his role in Avengers: Endgame and will now be seen in Men In Black: International. Speaking in an interview to news.com.au on Wednesday, the Avengers: Endgame star joked that he and his wife had managed to 'survive' without breaking up because of an ambitious property project.

The couple have been working on their new home for the last three years and Chris was quizzed how he and his wife have managed to make it work for so long. The actor fooled around and claimed that while many couples are pushed to breaking point by extensive home renovations, he and Elsa have managed to make things work.

When asked what would annoy Elsa the most about Chris. He said,  "Probably if I surf a little long or stay out a little late from time to time. But that's usually because of traffic!" The actor also added that if the same question was put forth to Elsa she would have a detailed answer. "But I can't wait for you to ask her that question. She'll give you a long list of things," Chris said.

While a hectic work schedule can be pretty daunting, Chris revealed that finding work-life balance can be a challenge. "I can be pretty damn stubborn, so can she, which is probably where we tend to butt heads occasionally," he said about their day-to-day challenges. "But we've done pretty well to still be trucking along quite nicely, all things considered. We both have strong opinions and also both have a great amount of enthusiasm for what we believe in."
