If there is one movie this year that has probably left you speechless and in awe of the character, high chances that it is Joker and Joaquin Phoenix's spectacular performance. The actor took on the villainous role as Arthur Fleck has garnered praises for his acting with many touting him to be the front-runner at the Oscars 2020. The film has generated a huge response and raked in huge collections worldwide as well as in the US. Now, the actor is dishing out his thoughts on whether he would like to revisit the role as Joker. (Spoilers ahead)

With Gotham still burning, Thomas Wayne dead and above all the Joker aka Arthur Fleck alive, rumours of a sequel are bound to float around. Speaking on Popcorn with Peter Travers, Joaquin was naturally asked if a sequel is in the pipeline and whether he would be up for it a second time around. Turns out, Joaquin is very much open to the possibility of playing Joker.

Joaquin said, "I talked to (director) Todd (Phillips) a lot about what else we might be able to do, in general, just working together, but also specifically, if there's something else with Joker that might be interesting." He added, "me and Todd would still be shooting now if we could, right? Because it seemed endless, the possibilities of where we can go with the character."

When quizzed if he thinks this is his dream role, the actor said, "I wouldn't have thought of this as my dream role, but now, honestly, I can't stop thinking about it." Well Joaquin, we too can't stop thinking about it.

Absolutely loved the Joker. If Joaquin doesn’t win an Oscar then what the heck do the voters want.

Would love to see where they take the movie next. Bring on a sequel.

Deserves an oscar
