We refuse to believe Nicki Minaj is retiring from her musical career. The international rapper has given several chart-topping hits in her career. From dropping jaws with Anaconda to collaborating with stars like David Guetta, Ariana Grande, Maroon 5 and more, Nikci has been on the top of her game. However, it seems like Nicki is done with her music career and wants to focus on her personal life. The songstress took to Twitter to announce she was retiring from music to focus on her personal life.

She tweeted that she wanted to start a family hence, she has decided to kiss her music goodbye. "I’ve decided to retire & have my family," she writes, adding she knows "you guys are happy now," referring to her haters. Addressing her fans, the singer added, "To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, (cross mark) in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me," she added. "Love you for LIFE," her tweet concluded.

The tweet left fans in shock. While some were emotional over her confession, others felt she could probably trolling everyone. "girl I don’t know why she playing with us," a fan wrote. "So the music industry is over," another fan added.

The announcement about her retirement comes as a shock for fans. Especially since she had a musical summer. She had joined Megan Thee Stallion for a verse in "Hot Girl Summer" anthem, and went on to tease a new album that had taken up her time since the release of Megatron.

But Nicki has time and again teased that she was on a time limit. In one of her songs early in her career, she rapped, "Seven Years From Now Im Taking My daughter to preschool," hinting that she was eyeing at starting a family some day or the other. She had also once exclaimed, “I will retire with the crown, yes,” back in 2010. Maybe, Nicki could genuinely be retiring. If she is, it would a huge disappointment for the singer hasn't even won a Grammy yet. Cardi B, who entered the industry after Nicki, bagged a Grammy last year.
