Ryan Reynolds shares his 'audition' video for Detective Pikachu; also shows clips of Jigglypuff & others

Everyone's childhood favourite cartoon character Pikachu is all set to make us feel nostalgic with the film Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. The trailer had left everyone very excited as well as emotional to see their favourite Pokemon characters. Directed by Rob Letterman, the film stars Justice Smith, Ryan Reynolds, Kathryn Newton, Omar Chaparro and Karan Soni.

Recently, actor Ryan Reynolds shared a video on his Twitter page, which he calls his audition for the role of Detective Pikachu. The handsome actor captioned it as, "Footage from my ACTUAL audition for #DetectivePikachu. Get your tickets at http://bit.ly/PDPTickets." The video has Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' playing in the background.

The video begins with the very cute Jigglypuff called the Balloon Pokémon auditioning who is followed by Pancham, Aipom, Dodrio, Venusaur, Eevee, Charizard, Pikachu and others. This video will definitely excite you to watch the movie in theatres.

Earlier, in an interview, on playing Detective Pikachu, Ryan Reynolds said that he feels it is a privilege to play the character and he isn't taking it lightly.

The actor added that he has spent every second of his energy in making this character come alive just the way its fans would expect it to be.

Detective Pikachu is slated to release on May 10, 2019.
