This year's San Diego Comic-Con is going to be dope. While it might seem like the event will be Marvel-dominated event, there are many amazing experiences in store for fans. Many movies are expected to make their way to the event this year. This includes Top Gun: Maverick. The Top Gun sequel stars Tom Cruise, who reprises his role as Maverick from the classic movie. The filming began last year and now it has been reported that the movie will touch down at the SDCC.

According to a Deadline report, Paramount and Skydance will be presenting Top Gun: Maverick. Sources told the international publication hotel reservations are being made for the cast of the movie in San Diego. However, it is still unclear if Tom Cruise will make his way to the year's biggest convention. Well, we wouldn't be surprised if he does make his way into the event. Cruise appearing at the Comic-Con would definitely some steal the thunder of others at the event.

While Cruise's attendance will be something we look forward to, we are also keen on finding out if we will get a glimpse of Top Gun 2 at the event. For the unversed, two-minute footage of Top Gun: Maverick was showcased at CineEurope recently. If not a full-length trailer, we hope to see some footage from the movie. SDCC 2019 also marks Paramount's first appearance since San Diego Comic-Con 2016. The production presented Star Trek: Beyond the last time around.
