I refused 3 Idiots as I was not happy with the role I was offered : Kajol
It might surprise you to know that everyone's idol Kajol, also has an idol. It is none other than the diva Sridevi. In an interview to Hindustan Times, Kajol opens up about her favorites in the industry, about Raju Hirani's 3 Idiots and also about her getting back in shape! Here are some interesting excerpts: Why did you refuse 3 Idiots? Lots of female actors say that you are their idol. Who is yours? You never spent so much time on your appearance as you seem to do now. Any particular reason for this? Suddenly people are noticing the brands you wear and how you look, something I find very absurd. In my entire life, I have never bothered about what brand I wore, let alone what other people wore. All these things were irrelevant. But being a movie star, how can you escape the ‘brand wagon’? You won’t believe it, but I am still not brand conscious. If I like something, I will pick it up from anywhere and wear it. I don’t believe that only branded stuff looks good on you. If it doesn’t look good in my eyes, I’ll never wear it. Kajol’s fave actors Ajay Devgan: Truly impressed by his acting range. From serious roles to out and out comedy, from romantic to rowdy, Ajay’s displayed great talent always. Shah Rukh Khan: Willing to take risks and do something different. Good actor. Salman Khan: One of the most intelligent people I have met. By far the biggest contemporary superstar in the industry, yet so untouched by stardom. The way he delivers his dialogues is a reflection of his real self — casual and carefree. Aamir Khan: Supremely talented and intelligent. A great marketing genius. Always puts on a new hat. Akshay Kumar: Evolved fantastically. I remember he was working with my mother in Deedar (1992). I was very young then. When mom would tell us about Akshay Kumar the star, our jaws would drop. He has made it super big in the industry without any major backing. And he’s still the same warm Akshay.

Why hate the husband? Ajay would have felt insecure about SRK-Kajol friendship. He is human after all. You have no business hating him.
She may appear as a simpleton, but I always liked and adored her for her veracity. She always takes a step aside and looks at everything and makes her mind up. She never wanted to be one of that styled, plastic babes that hold back their opinion in order to appear in a better light to get a role or a certain reputation.
She refuses roles that offer her nothing better than to be an accessoire of the male hero. Cameos in movies were always a favour for the producer/director. It's a shame that these production houses or directors sometimes do not appear as grateful as suitable.
I have rarely, if ever, read about her flattering or insulting someone without reason and she always stayed extremely loyal to her husband, her mother, her sister. And her children always come first. When it comes to it, she speaks her mind and and the end of the day, she turns out to be right.
Look at her, her way of life and behaviour seem to make her as beautiful as she is.
Kajol, please stay choosy with your roles and your friends.
now kajol become typed, overacts and kareena improved a lot. much better than over confident kajol. without khan she has no hit for past decade.

Kajol was offered Kareena's role, she said so herself in this article and in other video interviews too. I heard it from her own mouth. What's so hard to accept for bebo's fans? As Kajol herself admitted the important thing is who gets to do in the end the movie, so she doesn't consider the role hers at any point when someone else gets to actually act it on celluloid. These things happen a lot in bollywood, roles are being offered sometimes to many leading ladies before one is chosen or choses it.

everyone know she approached for kareena's role in the movie ! and she rejected it because the role is too short in front of the male in the film ! and she said about it in her bbc interciew during mnik promothion that she rejected 3 idiot and she wants worked with his friends in mnik !
and reporter clearly in interview said the role eventually played by Kareena Kapoor !
after she rejected Kareena's role in the film Rumors about her special apprence in the film in a song with aamir khan also but its only Rumors !
only the lead role is true and kajol wants one of the male role in the film so she rejected it !
some of kareena's fans thinks if she play a role or agreed , its a best and everyone should be liked it !!! why ?! lol ! grow up ! its about a role only ! not about talent of kareena or kajol !!!
