The actor finally admits into being in a relationship with his co-star in their forthcoming film, 3G. Excerpts from the interview
What is your relationship status?
Neil: I don't want to be disrespectful to the person I love by being diplomatic. I am in love with Sonal Chauhan. She is everything I want in a woman. For one, she is not a home-breaker. She makes me feel good about who I am, unlike my last relationship, where I was made to feel like sh*t.
Who are you referring to?
Neil: I'd rather not talk about that. I'd rather talk about Sonal. She is a complete contrast to my last relationship. She doesn't hide behind artifice.
So, is marriage on the cards?
Neil: We're figuring it out. I am sure she is the girl I want to marry.
Does she feel the same way about you?
Neil: I know she feels very strongly for me. We want to make sure that we're in love for keeps. I want Sonal to trust me completely before she makes a commitment. Isn't it a man's duty to convince the woman he loves that he is capable of looking after her for life?
Has she met your parents?
Neil: Yeah, of course.
Did your feelings grow while you were shooting in Fiji?
Neil:Yes. I was very fond of her before I started working with her. But I came really close to her later. For the first time, I fell in love with someone I was working with. Sonal got to see and know me both on and off the sets. It's very important for my woman to know my working style.
Did your last relationship not put you off love?
Neil: It made me suspicious of love. But the beauty of love is that it hurts but also heals. I was bitter after the sham I was subjected to in my last relationship. But it made me stronger. Being with Sonal has taught me the drastic difference between a bad and good relationship.
Do you want to thank the lady you were seeing earlier?
Neil: Oh yes, for making me wiser and stronger. Sonal healed me. I am not bitter anymore. I love being demonstrative in love. Sonal is not that demonstrative about her feelings but I hope she feels the same way about me.
When will you meet her parents to formally ask for her hand in marriage?
Neil: Why only her hand? I will ask for all of her -- as soon she lets me.

He's all over her. Too much pda (obviously) not physical. Although, it's refreshing to see his honesty, but I still think he shouldn't be coming out so strongly in public especially since Sonal hasn't said anything about it. And reading more recent news, she seems to be quite upset with him about it.

I just read what Sonal had to say about this. And WOW. :| Neil has gone loco.
The boy has seriously lost it. He sounds like a crazy possessive psychopath. He probably gets obsesses with girls who are just friendly with him. Such a shame, I liked him, I thought he was a a decent guy.

If Sonal really said that,then kudos. Good for her to clear things out about this weirdo. You can't just talk about women like they are your personal property especially when it comes to love and relationships. You might sully their reputation,it is India after all. I can see a lot of Neil spewing hate against Sonal in the future. Poor girl is in such a mess.She needs our best wishes,lol.

Sonal said she woke up to a barrage of missed calls and messages from her family and friends. Most importantly, her parents were aghast at the news. "They were very disturbed and asked me to explain. If I was in a relationship with anybody, I would definitely not hide it, at least not from them," she said.
Sonal denied having met Neil's parents saying, "Please, I haven't met them." Asked about Neil's statements that she helped him come out from his shell after his last relationship (with Asin Thottumkal) and healed him, she shot back, "Gosh! He hasn't even spoken about his previous relationship with me."
Sonal, who has signed a two-film deal with Eros International, said: "I am fond of Neil as a person. I don't know what the future holds for me. He is a genuine guy. But I don't know why he has been speaking of us this way. Marriage? Have I gone mad that I will marry at this point in my career? I am not in a relationship with him and I certainly don't believe in casual flings. I know him from only four months and that's a very short time to decide and take such a big decision."

I just read this and I've been laughin my a** off ever since!! I feel sorry for Neil .. He's either deeply in love with her or he's just mental!
He looks more of a vindictive guy than a fellow who is in love. Asin should give him back strongly with an explosive interview (but I don't see that coming, as she is too private person).
He seems very hung up on his ex, seems like hes giving such interviews just to show her up. When you are truely in love with someone you don't dwell on your ex so much that you bring it up in interviews. I don't think any person would be okay with it if their boyfriend/girlfriend is constantly comparing the relationship to their previous one, even if it is for the better. The only person I feel sorry for in this scenario is Sonal, the whole public declarations of love would put undue pressure on her and the media will paint her as a heart breaker if she chooses to opt out of the relationship.

rajeev masand blind item was correct i guess - about the girls family treating him very lowly and even making him wash dishes in their house and stuff. but anyway, he def seems hung up still on asin and still thinking about her, more so than his current crush
He sounds SO bitter. Asin has maintained a dignified silence until now. Good for her.

Whts wrong with he criticizing his ex. May be she was bad...if someone is hurt tht person will talk. How does it make anyone classy or cheap. People r diff he likes talking abt his feelings. Sonal is lucky to have such a handsome guy and someone who is opening talking abt her. I m not sure who is his ex but tht girl is looser for leaving a handsome like him.
