Madhuri Dixit with Saransh Goila(India Ka Superchef)

Madhuri Dixit Nene with Delhi based Saransh who is 'INDIA KA SUPERCHEF', winner of the FOOD FOOD MAHA CHALLENGE show.

Besides being a trained Chef, Saransh is also a trained actor and dancer.

Saransh talks on how he won the "India Ka Superchef" title below

“The incident that triggered off my wining the Maha Challenge transpired in the second last episode of the show. All contestants had to a 5 course menu with strict time-lines. While there was a hectic flurry of activityof excelling and meeting the deadlines, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor raised the alarm that there were just 10 seconds left. A moment of panic hit me like a bolt ofthat dark meteor. I was way behind schedule. I could lose out on my moment of joy if I didn’t do something quickety-quick. My kebabs were still on the griddle. I realized that if these kebabs didn’t go on the plate my dream o fbecoming India Ka Super Chef would go kaput. So without wasting any nano seconds, my mind took a swirling U-turn and did the outrageous yet impulsive trick. I didn’t have enough time to look out for a ladle or slicer. I picked upall the 5 kebabs straight from the griddle with my right hand not realizing that I wasn’t wearing any gloves. Surprisingly, it was these kebabs that got me ‘Dish of the day’ in that episode.

“While I did all this impromptu act, I didn’t know that I was being watched through eagle eyes. I had 3 burnt fingers in my right hand for my smart thinking, not to forget I had severed a deep cut as in the same hand earlier that day.Knowing that I've made it into the finals what scared me the most was that my right hand was only partially useful. The cuts and burns were painful but forme it was being part of the moment of joy and the dare-devilry spirit to winthe contest which kept my adrenalin pumping.

“The programming head Aparna and Ashraf immediatelyarranged lot of ice and were concerned Even Chef Sanjeev was a bit worried. He advised me not to take my hand of ice. And to just plunge my fingers tightly onthe ice to avoid water burns at the same time. He also narrated an incident where he had burnt his hand doing a grill ad shoot. He had placed his hand directly on the grill. H narrated as to how after an hour, he was back on shootand completed it. That did actually inspire me in real.

“Things didn’t stop at that, to my horror we had to cook a 7 course meal on the final day in 2 hours. Not to be left down ever in life despite having an almost handicapped right hand which partially useful, I pumped in my mind with some wizardly time management skills. And hola, I cooked that 7 course meal before other finalists could. I guess when you're hungry enough for winning your dream in life, all obstacles are achievable. Cuts, burns and last minute bloopers should be blended with an intuitive mind to resolve and crease out issues. Winning the Maha Challenge for me is like my platter of kebabs – perfectly cooked,succulent and seductively tasty”.
