I hate actresses who pretend to be so conservative in real life yet will do multiple such poses in magazines and do what not on screen! Vidya is proving to be a great manipulator. Sick of seeing her and her "stupid" interviews in the media EVERY DAY! The critics love her and promote her shamelessly while criticizing films not much different from hers! In fact TDP was a "typical" bollywood film disguised as a some sort of emancipation film for women. The life of a dead "item girl" was a good vehicle to show soft sexual content and that is why it was made! Silk Smitha did what she did because she had to. Countless actresses still do that today....it will never change.
There is a coterie of critics and friends ( Rajeev Masand, Aseem Chabra, Raja Sen etc) who are not really fans of the regular bolly films but who have elevated her to some "great actress". I think they do it to belittle the other top actresses who are more popular than Vidya. The News channels are not much different. They too have been promoting Vidya shamelessly. Their bias is sickening to witness. And now she thinks she is the "hero" in her films! A swollen head anybody!

Well, the reason Vidya is enjoying so much success is because she is one of those few who CAN act. Apart from her you have Kareena, Kangana, Priyanka Chopra and a couple others, the rest are just foreign bimbos. Other classy actresses like Tabu and Diya Mirza are hardly seen in films. There is not enough competition and you cannot blame Vidya for that.

Insider actor friends of mine tell me VIdya is quite open sexually and sensually and hey she comes across like that. I have no problem with that but these backless covers, what are they? Xray of her spine? If she is that comfortable in her skin, why doesn't she ever show her arms, legs? FoR dirty picture yes she did show her stomach but there she was meant to be voluptous and podgy so it worked in that sort of a set up. All I am trying to say is even though she is a superior actor she is still not very comfortable in her skin; they all say they are but pictures tell a different story: pc=not comfy in her entire persona, changed everything about her looks, bips=definitely not comfy being dusky, is pretty lightened now and so on and so forth.
It is okay to not like parts of yourself and be a bit insecure and definitely much more sexier when you can have the guts to say 'yeah you know I have issues with this part of me'. That's fine. Just don't mislead the youth when you say I am okay in my skin and start changing yourself because someone in some obscure town might following you.
