Priyanka Chopra is excited about her home production Sarvann. The movie based in Punjab, is about an NRI boy played by Amrinder Gill, coming to India to connect to his true roots. In an interview with a leading daily, PC's mom Madhu Chopra revealed that the inspiration behind the movie was Udta Punjab.
She said, "It was disturbing (Udta Punjab). There have also been continued reports about how the youth of Punjab is going ashtray from their own identity. Priyanka has made a much needed, impactful film."
She added, "The film doesn't have those typical Punjabi embellishments of bhangra songs and Punjabi-style weddings. But it conveys a hard-hitting message amid a very engaging story."
Sounds interesting, right?
