Although names such as Kareena Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra, and Aishwarya Rai come to mind due to their charges for acting in films (in which Kareena has been the highest and recently joined by Vidya Balan) as well their bandwagon of endorsements. BUT NONE OF THESE LADIES IS THE RICHEST WOMAN IN BOLLYWOOD...ANY GUESSES? IT'S PREITY ZINTA! According to a TOI report, Preity's stake in her cricket team alone is valued at around Rs 350 to Rs 400 crores. Experts think that the number is much higher. Additionally, she is also the legal heir of Shandar Amrohi who is one of the owners of the Kamalistan Studios (previously owned by Meena Kumari and Kamal Amrohi). The property is valued at hundreds of crores and seems to be an eye candy in real estate. NOW, DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT COMING?

I think Juhi Chawla is definately the richest by far. She has been working for 25 years, she is married to one of the richest men in India, she has her endorsements, countless investments and she is the co-owner of KKR. Plus she uses her money and name for charity, good causes and film production (latest being I AM-which won the National Award for Best Hindi Film this year).

I just don't believe this! If she was that rich, we would never see snapshots of her at the airport because really rich people fly only by private jet.

I don't think so! You don't have to travel in private jets all the time if you are rich...take for example SRK, he is the richest actor in India, his net worth is a whopping 600 million US dollars!!! That is almost 32 billion Indian rupees!!! But we still see him travel once in a while through commercial flights (even though he has his own private jet). When he travels overseas he goes on commercial flights, when he travels inside India he uses his private jet.

I read this long ago that she is the richest Bollywood lady...and when she bought IPL it was not a big thing back than so she didn't buy it at the same value as it has now become...IPL will be a hit who knew that so all of the Bollywood stars who now owns IPL took a risk and now they are happy...I agree that Preity is a sensible clever business woman:) its not that whatever she has is because of ness wadia...she risked every single penny on IPL.

FYI.... Preity's stake is NOT hers but that of several investors she represents. IPL owners know the brand value of Bollywood stars, thus having one as the "stakeholder" adds value to the brand which increases the valaue of their investment. On her own she could not own manage that type of finance without some heavy hitting by some investors. The same with shilpa and srk, while they may own a percentage of the overall shareholding, they do not own the majority shareholding. They have ultimately become brand ambassadors for their teams, with a minor stake, plus endorsement fee.
Unlike Nita ambani who owns the Mumbai Indians as. Result of her husband 's backing, so the valaue of their stake holding belongs to them entirely.

I don't buy that, preity tweeted once asking for some Extras who want to work in her movie "Ishq in Paris", but she said she won't be paying them any dime since it's a low budget movie, thus she can't afford it... If she is that rich, she wudnt be looking for free extras desperately.
