Deepika Padukone had a cracker of a year at the box office in 2018. Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavat became one of the top 3 grossers of 2018 and Deepika Padukone was applauded for her delightful performance in the film. The actress also made her way to be one of the top 5 celebrities on the Forbes Richest Celebrities list 2018. However, the 'Piku' actress has not always had a smooth sailing. Deepika had publicly opened up about her depression in 2015 and mustered the courage to speak about the difficulties she encountered. 

Deepika also encouraged people and her fans to speak about their battle with depression. Deepika in more ways than one had begun a conversation about mental health, and now, the actress' story will find place in an upcoming children's book. The book also includes illustrations by 51 artists from across the country, with the actor's illustration having been created by Ritu Bhattacharya. Sarada Akkineni informed Mid-Day that Deepika was insightful and forthcoming while discussing her chapter in the year-long course of developing the book. 

Deepika Padukone will next be seen in Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak along with Vikrant Massey. Chhapaak is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and DP will be essaying Laxmi's role in it.
