Deepika Replaces Kareena in Ekta-KJo Collaboration
Remember the film that's been in the news which is a collaboration between Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor. Emran Hashmi is the leading man and originally Kareena was approached for the film. We even heard that Kareena was trying to make room in her schedule for the film (considering it's a heroine-centric film and has an urban take on love) and Emran is not the mainstay in it. However, Kareena was unable to do so as her wedding is supposed to be around that time as well. At that point, Deepika was approached and she agreed to do the film. However, Kareena came back to it but unfortunately, Deepika was already finalized.

Yeah now dp has both ram leeks and this.. In a matter of 5 years she is giving a good game to Kareem's who was there for 12 years. She really shines now.eecially after cocktail

I want to see Emraan with all the leading heroines. Now Deepika is beautiful but I fear with someone who lacks natural emoting, it'll depress the impact. I hate to say this but the way Deepika voices her dialogues is also a bit of a put-off. It'll be a freah pair however so am eager to watch them.

ekta and her brother share a professional relationship in bollywood - tushar kapoor has confirmed that. Kareena was approached for this film and that's been in the news for the past few months. Whether she wanted to act beside emraan or not, that I can't comment but the reasons given were that she's busy filming Heroine currently and then has to take out for pormoting as well. She's also signed Ram Leela opposite Ranveer Singh which she has to shoot for sometime in September. Sharmila Tagore has confirmed their wedding to be on October. So I think these are all valid reasons if she's looking to make room in her schedule and in the process, missed the role.

Deepika can't act if her life depends on it. I would have liked to see Kareena in this film.
We'll have to wait and watch the fate of this film.
Barring Heroine, every movie that Kareena has refused, has gone on to become a hit, eg KNPH , Kal Ho Na HO...
I guess Bebo realized that and went back to get the movie back, but it was too late.
Personally, I feel this was a mistake on Kareena's part. Emraan (however he may be) is a rising star.
I dont think it was date issues, it was cz she dint wanna work with Emraan.
Plus this is a joint collaboration b/w Kjo and Ekta Kapoor--2 of the most successful producers in the past 2 years. Hope your decision wasnt a brash one Bebo! :)

aw im so glad kareena is not doing this not becoz i like deepika. for me both r talentless...but deepika is more beautiful & young looking...kareena is these days jus too overrated.i donno what film producers see in her. its like there is no other actress then her among all these bimbos.jab we met was the only movie she did good in her film carrier..she is still running in a shadow of it.

I really hope Ram Leela is worth the time Kareena is giving to that movie. 150 days hence why she had to say no to other projects coming her way.

deepika is ganna ruin the film....the girl cant act. shes been flop for a long time. its she same acting over n over again. shes pretty but no acting skills....needs to take acting classes.
kareena is the best choice for this movie....i hope they get her!!!
