When someone talks about US' most famous sitcom till date -- Friends, it gives us a strong feeling of nostalgia. It has been over 15 years since the show last aired on television, but its fan following seems to be increasing endlessly and the season remains a firm favourite across the world even today. Fans from all over the world have wanted a reunion of the much-loved cast but chances of that happening are not only rare but next to impossible. Yes, they have made appearances together for talk shows, but a full-fledged reunion is not on the cards and there is a reason behind that.

Recently, in an interview with Rolling Stone, Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman was asked the reason behind not reviving the '90s show and and she had a darn good reason for it. Here's what Marta had to say, "There are several reasons. One, the show is about a time in your life when your friends are your family. It's not that time anymore. All we'd be doing is putting those six actors back together, but the heart of the show would be gone. Two, I don't know what good it does us. The show is doing just fine, people love it. [A reunion] could only disappoint. 'The One Where Everyone's Disappointed."

Well, Marta does make some significant points. But, do we still want a reunion? Well, not a full-fledged one, but it will be great to see the entire cast come together and relive some memories in Central Perk.

Speaking about the popularity of the show to this day, Marta also added, "These are trying times, and certain people want the comfort food rather than the difficult, mean-spirited kind of show. It's warm, it's cozy, (the characters) love each other. What's not to love about that?"
