Heroine Opens Well - Highest number for any female driven film
Heroine opened well at the box office with collections around 55-60% at multiplexes. The film will come out with a pretty good first day number and by far the highest for a film driven by a heroine. The first day number of Heroine will be much bigger than any other film where the main face value was the female lead. The wide release also gives potential to collect but a lot depends on how well the single screens actually collect.

Wow at the comments here. I think the deranged Ash fans are super mad about Kareena taking the role after Ash had to drop out because she got pregnant. I mean I've never seen so much vile hatred before and it's disgusting.
I can see Ash raging in Chicago. No wonder she left the country! Her fans are going psychotic in pain and humiliation over here already.
Go Kareena! She's the real Heroine on Bollywood. First Heroine to have over 2000 screens open in India and first Herione to carry a movie like this big on her shoulders.
Yup my forecast was Right! The film had a good opening for a Heroine centric film ever .. but the film will not set the cash registers ringing hereafter.. it has got MIXED RESPONSE among the AUDIENCE and the critics THRASHED it ..As I said FIRST DAY collection was good bcuz of the HYPE beleaguered the film since from the AISHWARYA’S episode
Lets get one thing out of the way first, the film would have still been crap/flopped had Aishwarya gone on and finished it. From a fake actress to an OTT one, both are highly overrated.
But the failure of Heroine goes to the director as the actual film sucks more than the performance. Madhur has come to the end of his talent. What he is good at he did wonderfully in Chandni Bar & Page 3 and got to take up to a higher notch with Fashion, in terms of stars, bigger canvas etc. The guy has nothing more to give hence Heroine was always doomed.
Kareena was right to not want to take up Heroine in the first place, she shouldn't have been swayed to do it after Ash was dropped. This is her biggest problem, she has always made bad choices in her movie career, barring a few. She gets the best offers first even with out doing much exceptional work prior to these offers yet she always rejects what's good & takes up what's bad, without fail.
And she has no confidence in her own opinion and no faith in other people's talent. She doesn't look at scripts, the film as a whole, narrations, the passion of director on it's subject. Just how much she's paid, who's starring opposite her and how successful they have been in the past.
She isn't that talented, she isn't that popular, she is very childish & insecure and rather self absorbed. And powerful people in the industry cooing about her, praising her unnecessarily over small performances makes her even more unliked & overrated. The public doesn't rate her as highly or love her as much as she or industry people seem to believe.
GOD saved ASH from this DISASTER!!!!

Good for KareEna. She made 5he movie to this level unlike ash ditched the whole crew by become pregnant.
probably if they had gone a little less on the promotions.. plp wldnt have expected much and who knows might have even liked it!

I didnt like it. The movie or Kareena....The whole movie was a put together pieces of Dirty Picture, Fashion and Page 3. Every bit of the movie felt like I had seen it before and Kareena was totally lost and inconsistent in her acting.
There are always lies about kareena's films doing well and this is one of those lies
This is totally unfair...UTv has strictly ordered that public forums with people's views not to be publicized over the weekend. Several celebrities have been requested to tweet positively for the movie since Kareeena dooes not have a twitter account.
The film was bound to take a good opening at least.The film has been in the news for more than a year.The real thing for a film like this is appreciation,which is not happening a bit.In fact,the movie has been ridiculed at lot for the poor script,poor acting,cheesiness etc and has been r.The film is surely not gonna get any awards/accolades at all.The film actually has less chances of having a good run overall as the response is almost as negative as Joker,TMK.But there are still some li'l chances.And again the film has way too many screens compared to any other woman-centric film.Lets see,how it performs overall!

oh god. now bebo fans will keep on reminding us of this at any chance they get. i still think think kareena wasted her talent with this old recycled script. i went on twitter and all the people praising this movie all have kareena`s photo on their avi. need i say more??????

All the reviewres gave bad rating for this film still I went and saw it......it is total waste picture only kareena's body is displaying......film got this much hype before releasing because aish's name was tagged in it...........total waste of money and time......

just saw the movie and can i say what the f was that? i mean the movie dragged and the story was simply crap. kareena's performance was a disappointment and arjun was not good and did not have any chemistry with kareena .

The movie was good with aspects that reminded of Preity Zinta's life. Film showed Heroine making all wrong choices, using men and going to any extent for money and to remain in the race, alcohol, s*x, bi-s*xual relationship, linkups, affairs with costar, affair with cricketer, after film career is over run after rich tycoons and IPL etc etc. Actually we've seen it all, nothing new. Kareena was great.
