Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat is out and has set the cash registers ringing at the box office since its release on Eid, June 5. While the reactions have been largely positive, there was a lot of buzz prior to film's release about Salman Khan and Katrina's looks as the actors travel through different timelines in the film. If it was Salman's aged look that garnered the most attention, for Katrina, it was Kumud's distinct curly look that caught everyone's attention. 

In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Katrina Kaif opened up about some unknown facts about her character Kumud in Bharat. Speaking about her look, Katrina said, "Director Ali Abbas Zafar and I wanted a very distinct visual change for the character of Kumud. And that's when we came upon this look of curls and we wanted it to be very unkempt and natural looking." 

About her costume, Katrina revealed that she feels most comfortable wearing a saree. She added that she was the happiest on days when she had to wear a saree for her scenes which was pretty much most of the movie. Katrina also shared some behind-the-scene trivia and revealed that her introductory scene in Bharat which shows her sitting in her Delhi Employment Exchange office was actually shot in a school in the national capital. 

"We found that the school matched the architecture to that of what we wanted to show in the 1970's for this location," revealed Katrina. Bharat opened to a staggering amount of Rs 42 crores and has been performing well at the box office. So far, the film has raked in Rs 144 crore collectively.
