From the past few days, if there is one star whose upcoming film is making headlines, it is Ranveer Singh. The star of Gully Boy will soon be seen as Former Indian Cricketer Kapil Dev in Kabir Khan’s film, ‘83. For ‘83, Ranveer along with other cast members like Chirag Patil, Hardy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem, Pankaj Tripathi and more have been training in Dharamshala. Kabir Khan wanted Ranveer and the team to work on their batting and bowling skills as well as bond as a team to look real.

Today, Ranveer shared the release date of the film along with the first look of his team of 1983 on Instagram. As per Ranveer’s Instagram post, the picture says, ‘1 Year to ‘83’ which means, that the film will hit the screens on April 10, 2020. The film is based on the life of Kapil Dev, the captain of 1983’s World Cup winning Indian team. In the photo, we can see Ranveer sitting right in the middle of the team and all the boys seem extremely excited as they kick off this iconic film.

A while back, Ranveer shared a photo from the stadium in Dharamshala in which he was seen with the Kapil Dev. Ranveer seemed to be taking tips of improving his technique on the field from the former Indian Cricketer. Also, Ranveer shared a photo with the ace cricketer, Mohinder Amarnath a day back. Today, post the training in Dharamshala, Ranveer returned to Mumbai. Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film also stars Chirag Patil, Hardy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem, Pankaj Tripathi, Sartaj Singh, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Jiva.

he's going to be insufferable

Ranveer's PR is overdoing it with promotion of this film. We're start to feel over-exposed to it and are quickly losing interest. Hasn't he heard of the saying "too much of anything is good for nothing". He should try being mysterious for a change, maybe that will keep us interested.

The first cricket film i'll bother watching
