"Step Up Revolution" actress Kathryn McCormick speaks of Kareena Kapoor, song "Marjaani" & bollywood songs. "I danced on a Bollywood number in 'So You Think You Can Dance 6' (in 2009) and it was amazing. I loved to dance on that, although I could understand nothing in it. My choreographer Nakul Dev Mahajan for the Bollywood dance, told me a lot about the Indian dance forms and Bollywood," McCormick said in an email interaction. "I got the opportunity of watching a few Bollywood songs during 'So You Think You Can Dance' and I saw the video of the song of the Indian actress Kareena Kapoor. She was so graceful ," she added.

imagine how much ridiculous praise this post will get if she praised aish's dancing, to me aish's dancing is nothing spectacular she have stiff straight body with bulging belly no curves which is not ideal dancer's body, her dancing style is same in every movie.
Well said....she can't dance to save her life! At least you don't cringe when Kareena dances! When it's Ash...I turn over!

as i said before kareena has been the most praised actress of the year.every indian and international celeberities have been praising her so much more than any other actress being praised.

no i m not another "schumack"..... i belive that rather than being another somebody, its better to be the first me. Oh wait a minute... it reminds me of some add on tv :P
i have a tendency to joke arround (which is sometimes annoying even to me!) so dont take it seriously.... she is a quite nice actress ( for bubbly roles) but i think you yourself are aware of the fact that she is certainly not a good dancer and i didnt said anything bad or hurtful about her. so please spare me!

I've seen season 6 of SYTYCD and she was pretty good, came in third I think. Plus I don't think she knows a lot about Indian classical dance and she's probably only seen the typical bollywood Farah Khan type choreography which is tailor made for actresses who don't have any formal dance training. The 'Bollywood' style of dancing on the show is very much that and the contestants don't attempt the more intricate classical steps, just the basic bollywood steps that actresses like Kareena, Preity, Anushka, etc carry out.

There are some amazing dancers from the past and present date. Like really brilliant and expressive dancers like Vajyantimala, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit.
But when it comes to grace, being graceful in movements and flow of dance, Waheeda Rahman and Aishwarya Rai comes to mind. There is a poise in the way they move and carry themselves while dancing, which sets them apart. I am not saying they are superior to the other great dancers/actresses but it's about being ''graceful''.

She's definitely expressive which helps the song but graceful isn't it. But gotta admit, Bebo looks extremely gorgeous in this song. wow.
