2018 hasn’t been the best year for Sonakshi Sinha, having delivered average films at the box office. But Miss Sinha is hopeful that with an array of films in her kitty in 2019, she is going to change her game. Last, Sonakshi Sinha was seen in the 2018-film Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi and though the film didn’t perform well at the box office, Sonakshi Sinha’s performance was loved by one and all. Similarly, films like Welcome to New York, Noor, and Itefaq, among others, bombed for Sonakshi, but she is happy that she got to play different roles in each of these films.

“We are in a great phase in terms of the content that is being churned out, and the audience is wonderfully accepting of it. Be it Dabangg (2010), Lootera (2013), Akira (2016), Noor (2017) or Happy Phirr Bhaag Jayegi (2018) - each of my roles has different shades and textures. The promising times ahead will only aid my effort to diversify my offerings as an artiste,” Sonakshi told Mid-Day. As we speak, Sonakshi is now shooting in Amritsar for Mrighdeep Lamba’s untitled comedy film, and soon, she will resume the shooting of Mission Mangal and Sonakshi is happy that she opting for films that give her a chance to play different characters. “What made me opt for these films is that [they gave me a chance to] narrate different stories and play characters that are so far apart from each other,” informed Sonakshi.
