Yash Chopra's Next Project Confirmed with Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif & Anushka Sharma
As already announced, Yash Chopra's next directorial venture stars the king of romance, Shahrukh Khan. As Yashji put it earlier, "Everyone knows that when I make a movie, Shahrukh will be involved with it. He is like family to YRF and I have always regarded him as one of my own." However, after days of media conjecturing, we are happy to confirm that the two ladies, who will also be a part of this project, are Katrina Kaif, who will be playing a role opposite Shahrukh for the very first time, and Anushka Sharma, who was launched in "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi", alongside Shahrukh. Orchestrated by Yash Chopra, this untitled movie will mark the coming together yet again of the award winning duo of the music maestro A. R. Rahman and the poet & lyricist, Gulzar. When we spoke with him, he shared some of his thoughts with us. "It's been 7 years since I directed Veer-Zaara and as I begin work on my new film I hear my inner voice asking me a lot of questions. Are you sure you want to direct again, you are nearly 80 years old and the audience is getting younger day by day. Can I really speak from my heart and still expect today's youth to listen to me? Will I be able to live up to the blind faith that Shahrukh Khan has in me and give him yet another memorable romantic film? Will I be able to present the beautiful Katrina Kaif and the very talented Anushka Sharma in a way they have never been seen before? Will I be able to inspire Rahman and Gulzar Bhai enough to create their best work yet? The honest answer is... I DON'T KNOW! All I know is that I'm making a film that I believe in, a film that is about love and nothing else. A film which has an old soul but a young heart. A film which is classic in its look but contemporary in its language. A film which I'm making on one simple faith... the love that my audiences have given to me over the years. They have tolerated my indulgences for the past 50 years, I'm sure they will indulge me one more time." The film is scheduled for a Diwali 2012 release, the festive time when Yash Chopra movies over the years have lit up homes worldwide. Yashji, it's nice to have you back in the Director's Chair!

Cant wait for this film, wow FINALLY KATRINA WITH SRK AND YASH CHOPRA. wow. even though in the beggining i did not like katrina and her acting, it was her down to earth and humbleness that made me like her. she is so so hard working and you can see it from her first film to know, her hindi has improved tremendously. like akshay said that he sees how hard working kat is how much she memorizes her lines.
there must be something in Kat that Yash Chopra saw or else why would he sign her. tell me which actress from bollywood would go to lets say french movie industry learn french, learn to dance in french and act in french movies, well NO ONE, AND YET KATRINA DID THAT. gIVE a person credit where there deserve it.

OL ..I'm so glad I'm not the only one who picked up on 'Beautiful' Katrina and 'Talented' Anushka! He may be old but he's smart enough to know which of the two can act. To be honest I am disappointed in YC he could have worked with Kajol, Ash, Rani etc but he selected a non actress like Katrina. Had her films flopped she would have disappeared and no one would have even remembered she came in films. Her success is down to being Salman Khan's (ex) girlfriend and LUCK! We've gone from the likes of Heme, Sridevi, Madhuri, Kajol , Aish down to .. Katrina - She’s average looking, cant act, cant speak hindi, cant dance and yet she will be staring in a Yash Chopra film directed by the man himself…unbelievable!!

oh god why so much hate for katrina..is it beacause she is beautiful??? people are so jealous of her..she is one beautiful girl who always behave and always talk good about evryone..in india people still disriminate..Its very sad..well I m not from India..but I watch hindi film..people in here are craxy about kareena katrina sonam and many more..but I dont why indian people hate these beautiful actresses..well I am so glad srk and katrina are working together..Its like a dream came true..Its just made my day...:)))

Yash Chopra has real passion for his art. At his age instead of retiring he is weaving a brand new lovestory. wow. I like to watch new pairings in films, too much of the same ole gets tiring and is a drag not entertaining. Can't wait to see Katrina pair up with SRK onscreen its a fresh pairing. Even though Anushka has teamed up with Srk in one movie their pairing is still fresh it does not suffer from over exposure.
