I am not one to have role models, celebrities certainly not. But I just found your comment a tad elitist and ridiculous. People look up to someone for different reasons, usually due to something they lack in themselves, or for a certain quality they really admire. There is no formula for the quintessential role model. They don't have to be brilliant, have a couple of degrees, be scrupulous and follow strict decorum.

I like both Karisma and Ash in their own ways. Karisma was always a bigger star in India, while Ash has done some work internatinally, though they were small roles.
Karisma comes from a royal, well known, super famous family, whereas ash won the miss world title which led her career to Bwood. Ofcourse an affair with Salman opened the door quickly.Salman was already with Somi, so it was wrong on Ashs part, but that was in the past and let us not debate that.
If Karisma comes from a broken family, no fault of hers, Ash also have several broken relationship in her kitty.
She even wronged, by using Vivek ( at a time when NO one wanted to associate with Ash in bolywood. She was outcast in bwood) and ditching him for Abhi( or rather I should say for being a Bachan, as we all know Vivek is often called Prince of bwood, is better actor and self made( unlike Abhi who is only cashing in first with his fathers success and then Ashs popularity.) And Vivek too had a girl friend when ash started dating him.
And when she became Bachan Bahu, she really thought of herself as a queen of bolywood. She started having atitude and became very proud, arrogant, snobbish and thought she was above all.
You could see always tooling her eyes and making faces especially when Salman and Vivek took the stage. Little did she know its the whole world who was rolling eyes watching Sr B. fondness and closeness with you, while Jaya was never seen with them. And then with the political and filmy connection of bachans she started getting movie and commercial offers way over what they truly deserved, the power and money went over her head and I guess the time has come for her go be standing still on the ground.
I hope she act more like a lady, need to mellow down, be humble, show compassion and humility and consider herself a human being first and then the Godess of bolywood. And yes making female friends ( not for the purpose of using them ) will definitely help her on the road of recovery.
And as far as Karismas marriage is concerned, what I have read and noticed, its the hubby who has womanizing problem, and I know she shifted to Delhi after getting married and made her in laws home her home, but it was husbands affair (during the time her daughter was born ) , forced her to shift back to Mumbai. And I don't blame her for that. She probably wanted to see if hubby would give up his filandering, but he proved it again having an affair with another woman during the birth of her second child.
And that can happen to Abhi ( typical spoilt kid like Randhir Kapoor who live on and get work on their parents basis, not on their own merit, probably have high expectation from ash, knowing that he married her for her looks and popularity, may not last the way ash is looking now, and who knows what she will look like in 5 yrs.
And he may get like his father, have affair after affair like Sr B did when he became sucessful in his middle age.

Karishma had her first baby before 30 and Ash had hers at 38. You just cannot compare. Also Ash is not obsessed about having a fab body and looking her stunning best all the time. She never has been, unlike Karisma who is too conscious of her looks.
