You don't have to know a celebrity or someonelike known personally to pay respect. Katrina knows that he was once a one of the biggest actors in India and that's reason enough to go pay respects. I bet you a number of the celebrities who visited him at this time did not personally know him. They do so because they belong to the same fraternity.
