Let's stop arguing and show some respect to the deceased actor. The matter of importance here is not whether he was right or wrong in certain decisions, who took over from him as the next superstar, etc. etc. etc. The matter of importance here is that he was and will remain a key part of bollywood and surely, he has given a number of hit movies that were not only commercially successful but also touched us. Many of his movies' are still played in today's time and he is loved by many. So let's just remember that and his contribution to Indian Cinema.

Sai007, I really don't think that "the media" prevented RK from getting a wax statue, attending awards functions, or hosting a game show. And if RK's career crashed and burned we can't lay the blame solely on the shoulders on Salim-Javed. Somewhere a person has to take some form of responsibility and passion in their own career. I think that RK did give up on his own career and that is a shame, the wasted potential, because he was so loved by so many. You can not compare his career graph to Amitabh Bachchan's though because AB has been working all these years, honing his craft, not to mention taking the effort to attend countless social functions. Networking is a big part of getting work too. Putting yourself out there. We almost never saw RK, for this can we blame the media? Or Salim-Javed? I don't think so. Playing the blame game and pointing fingers is pointless.

I'm pretty sure Dimple and Rajesh put away aside their differences long ago. They all seemed very close to one another in recent years- regardless of illness reason, but still. People want to be together when they grow older.

well someone claiming he didnt get due respect. Well to let you know actors like Rajesh khanna, Dharmendra and many more do this to themselves. When they r successful they dont care abt anyone even their family. So when they r not and taking booz somewhere who will care for them??? Big B still popular coz first I think he is way too humble and turn his life around after bankrupcy...u have to do hard work in order to be loved. Its true for anyone in this world.

My professor at NYU in Bollywood Studies met the man, and she confessed that after meeting him, she started disliking him because he was extremely arrogant. She never seen ANY one more arrogant then Abitabh. And she compared him to SRK.. and she told me that SRK was much more down to earth then Amitabh.. which kinda blew my mind away.

I loves rajesh khanna soooo much . Im just 24 years old but i watches aap ki kasam aradhana anand and oh god i cried soo much. He is such a great actor , he acts from his heart and that translates onto the screen. I just wish he would of married someone else , like asha parekh or sharmila tagore. I loved his handsome looks and he was oo actractive. May he rest in peace. pinkvilla please publish

Rajesh Khanna, you were not only a superstar, entertainer, good-looking but an actor with substance. I have watched various films of yours and some of them, more than just once. Often times, your acting has made me teary. Today, you're no longer amongst us.
I read quite a sad story about by one of today's bollywood celebrities. Rajesh Khanna was once standing on the street and people didn't even recognize him. They just passed by him as if he was noone.
I don't know why we don't celebrate, remember, give importance to people when they are alive rather when they are on their deathbed? Wouldn't the industry/fans create more memories of these people? Why is it that someone gets due credit after their death? This is very sad.
