Yeah, I also live in the US where women wash cars in their bikinis, but the great thing about America is, people don't care! If a woman wants to wash her car in a bikini, it's because it's hot outside and she doesn't want to wet her clothes! When people pass by, they don't judge her and look down on her, they simply go on with their lives. That's the problem with some countries, they spend too much time judging others and focusing on the silliest things. Here, most of us have better things to do than judge someone who is washing their car.
Despite their chemistry, she won't give Ranbhir the time of day. She knows these industry guys.. and she and Deeps learned a bad lesson with Shaid & Ranbhir:

People in US do where leggings and shorts along with boots in winter. that's normal here. when it's not cold they skip the leggings.
first of all, Pri looks great. if her stylist chose this outfit, she wore it well at least. whether it fits or not in the scene, everyone will have their view.
secondly, let's not get 'high and mighty' and looking down on any ppl. the things said about villagers and breeding below was too much (( Where do ppl as sterotypical as yourself breed? its quiet a tragedy))--> all for an innocent comment on fashion and culture in other societies that the person perhaps was ignorant of. it makes all desis (nri or not) look bad. live years in BOTH places for years-- before you judge others. misconceptions are everywhere, and NRIs have as much misconceptions and ignorance about their root place, as they do about NRIs. so stop the cultural issues and let's get along. if someone does not understand what ppl wear in NYC or aboard, it does not mean they're a 'villager' (villager meant in the negative term-- it's actually positive)... or ill-bred !!! it means they just have assumptions just like you do, based on sterotypes they may have seen in films. ask a typical NRI NYC person how life actually is in the metros and Delhi or even in the villages-- and their misconeptions are beyond ignorant- but no one judges them in this fashion. some of them have no clue, seriously, about life there-- but ramble on like know-it-alls.

to the cultural wars below, that's so sad. nris and resident desis need to understand each other and not try to look down on each other. both sides may not understand the other's place- that's fine. the truth is somewhere in the midddle -- after being in both NYC and Delhi for many years.
Yes, definitely more bolder attire is common here in NYC, but it's catching on in Mumbai and Delhi too. but most ppl do dress moderate on a day to day basis. No, ppl don't run in bathing suits down the street. but no, they would NOT be charged if they were.. learn the law on what's indecent exposure. a bathing suit would seem silly in the winter-- but in fact, on Broadway, there was a dude running in one just to get attention one winter. no one cared.. yeah, some ppl dress very bold here.. yawn.
bottom line is Priyanka looks GREAT in a saree or anything she wears. She looks GREAT. that's not a yawn.

wat's the deal again? I wear such clothes even its sub-zero, coz i get tired of the jeans...yea..its friggin' cold, but keeping the feet n head warm helps...so chill gals!! Tho i cud have teamed the clothes better, but its a very normal attire!!! urgghh!

For you uninformed desis, watch dostana did you see the outfits she wore in their 10 times more revealing and in the backdrop the americans they were dressed the same...so it is a normal thing there. Maybe you guys need to come out of your villages. Or better yet stay there no one wants to see you.
In american culture and television even old ladies and grandmas are half naked on screen...so its not a stereotype get out of your cave. Walk the streets of mumbai even I have seen girls wearing minis that barely cover anything...in america it is 10 times worse.
Go to LA...NYC MIAMI etc...then talk to me about stereotyping.
Ps. I live in America and women here wash their cars on their driveways in bikinis and it is considered a norm...so learn your stuff!
