We saw a sneak peek of the card few weeks before, here's a look at the formal card.
This one goes to Nawab & Begum Kazim Ali Khan of Rampur in Uttar Pradesh.
nawab and begum of rampur!! lol!!! like the duke and duchess of cambridge haa haa!!

Thanks for your posting and I want let you know that UNIQUE SCROLL CARDS is scroll wedding cards, wedding invitations cards, scroll wedding invitations, hindu wedding cards, Designer Wedding Cards Manufacturer & Exporter from INDIA. You can place order for cards and will receive better services.
@ Anon ... I do agree with u on some points, with reference to saif's court case, unlike other Monarchs or Royals, Indian royals do not have immunity in a court so Saif should be treated like an ordinary citizen with equal rights to that of anybody else - not more not less! That means he is innocent until proven guilty and if proven guilty then he should get whatever penalty the courts decide - but until the courts decide how can we speculate on his character?
@ kitty and the other anon, why are u getting ur pants in a twist? I did sign snootycat at the bottom of my comment. Instead of accusing others of mischief, please pay attention when u read something..my mobile connection was too slow, so I chose not to log on.
U dont need to teach me democracy, its not a new concept and has been around for centuries (Rome and Greece) and monarchy is not a dated concept. It is still relevant in many countries, many of them in Europe.
Before Independence, all the kingdoms and principalities that were in the sub continent were given a choice of aligning with India, Pakistan or staying independant. obviously those who acceded to either state did so on certain conditions. Even after the reforms in the 70s, these blue blooded people still retain a sizeable chunk of their properties. Perfectly legal.
And royalty is not just about money and palaces..its also about traditions, clothes, jewellery, food ( trust me, the food that comes from a Nawabi kitchen is not something that even the richest man on earth is privy to unless he's their guest of course), special doors opening in special clubs..etc.
I have dealt with Royals, not 'served' them and I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT.
Many people are fascinated by royals, it doesnt mean they bow down to them and think they are inferior human beings!! Why would anyone think that and why would u insinuate that they do??? The wedding of William and Kate captured the imagination of the world....Why??
The world is not all black and white and boring....its just nice to give a little nod to history and see the romance in that sometimes.
It seems u are living in a ignorant world where u think u need to teach people basics of egalitarianism.
No one agrees to a concept of heriditary rule but some priveliges are legally granted to blue blooded people. They are equal and have equal oppurtunities in a court of law but that doenst mean they have no special perks in life.
Saif and his father and his father before him all have earned their own livelihood. In Europe, many stately homes are managed as hotels or open to the paying public so they can be maintained well. Why shouldnt Saif lease his property out to a hotel? He is obvioulsy smart and looking after his ancestral estate well and not letting it fall in ruins. I was shocked to see some of the Mughal building so badly maintained by the govt despite generating such income for them hereas the private palaces are maintained so well!!
PV PLease post this.

@ kitty....good and it's really nice to see some sane people here on pinkvilla...otherwise my head just spins reading all this nonsense....seeing how ignorant all these people are...spreading rumours and all..
and i think you blew snooty away by your comment at Thu, 2012-10-18 20:05....so i guess we won't be seeing her on this post...and even if she comes back i might not want to reply as she already has lost the battle,,, unless she has something interesting to say....

whatever you are saying here is true and i agree with you...
whats going on in this post? lol.
Well, even if there are other nawabs/prince in India, they won't say it loud because they are not in the limelight/nor are they famous actors to begin with. Saif is popular, this is why the story/fact of him being a Nawab keeps getting attention. Plus, I guess it is the "media," who keeps calling him the Nawab more often and links him to the Nawabs. There are a lots of prince in India, but they will never get the attention because they are not famous actors & people are not interested in their life.
Wed, 2012-10-17 05:55 — Anonymous... What's that you say, Saifoo was "anointed" in Pataudi, hmmm? So is Pataudi its own Republic then? Their own currency, and their own embassies abroad? No, right? Anyway in the real world, Pataudi exists within the Republic of India, and as such, DEMOCRACY rules. If the Anointed One wants to give any legitimacy to his false and empty title, he needs to get into politics and get REAL votes.
Did you know that Saif's father tried his hand at politics and suffered a humiliating defeat? He ran against ONLY ONE OTHER OPPONENT in Gurgaon (Pataudi is within this consituency) and he only received approximately FIVE PER CENT of the vote. I think the people have spoken, and they have outright rejected the Anointed Ones.

do you also remember the incident where saif hit that old man for agent vinod publicity
do you also remember how he apolozised to hollywood actor natali portman in front of the whole world for faking the news about working with her...

@Kitty... I am very happy Saif and Kareena are married thank you. Yes u are the authority on their status and not the worlds press and the Indian media and not the history books. Care to say what ur source is please?
Other anon or Kitty... I did not compare the Queen to Kareena Kapoor..dont say this when its plain for everyone to read what i said. Dont worry neither I nor Saif and Kareena themselves harbour any hopes of them ruling India except through the box office.
I have had the good fortune of dealing with few of your minor Royals for a couple of events, their world is really something different. They may have a fraction of their wealth after Govt acquisition, but its still a lot. They are very privileged, very very cultured and very sophisticated. You wudn't understand that its an exclusive club that sadly u have to be born into and no money can buy. They are all very democratic but value their traditions and lineage fiercely.
Saif was anointed Nawab by the people of Pataudi. Not like he thrust the title on himself. That shows the love and respect the family has earned among the people. And Saif's family just happened to have a world famous dashing cricketer and three actors. So they are celebrities and very well known unlike other Royals who are not so well reported by the media.
Tue, 2012-10-16 03:20 / Tue, 2012-10-16 03:23... Sorry Snooty but I never comment on PV as Anonymous or with any other name besides "Kitty". So if you're trying to correct me for something that an Anonymous said, your argument towards me is totally irrelevant. And if anyone in the media is dubbing this as "The Royal Wedding" then they are either uninformed or sensationalizing... so again, your argument is irrelevant. Indian media even reported that Kareena was making 8-10 crore for Heroine but when all was said and done Madhur Bhandarkar finally admitted that she only got 1.5 crore. So don't believe everything you read. :)
Instead of clinging to the false titles and embellishments to make this wedding seem more important, just be happy that Saif and Kareena are now happily married and in love... that is the most important thing.

on the other post i said it to you or maybe to the the other anon and i will repeat here..there were hundreds of kings and maharajs ruling in india before independance....and their lineage do exist but we don't hear them blowing their own trumpet....they have accepted democracy unlike pataudis ...saif's acceptance of the title "THE 10TH NAWAB" shows they don't want to let it go....this pataudi family, you and some of their fans act if they are the only ones left....

And yes as I have already mentioned, Saif’s family were never “rulers” in the true sense. If they ever would have tried to declare independence against their British Overlords they would have been hanged, shot, or both. They never had any power, they were installed by the British as puppet administrators, and the puppet show is long over. I hope that answers your question! :)
Ha ha ha ha ....never rulers in the true sense...lol u crack me up..... I suggested to one hater to stop being an amateur Freud, now I will suggest to you...leave history to experts. You lack actual authority to comment on someone's legal standings before independance or now. Unless u can back up ur statements with evidence please keep quiet. You refuse to answer why wiki and the worlds press would call them pricely rulers. Always sidestepping issues. Always. ALWAYS.
What u see is according to u what the whole world sees....ha ha...there's a saying which says u cant argue with someone who says a donkey has 3 legs. Or maybe you know the truth but u want to argue for the sake of arguing, or u are just jealous and deliberately trying (but not succeeding) to bring someone down.
Either way no one can debate with someone who refuses to use common sense and logic and invents stories instead of sticking to facts. Saying they were never royalty is a MASSIVE LIE..... LIAR Get a life...
PV please post this.
@Kitty, enough of this nonsense. Do u have any authority to say they were never Royal when the whole world agress they were? So kindly do yourself a favour and desist making any more stupid comments.
According to you only those who faught against the Brits were royal....ha ha ha ha ...u have absolutely no idea of history, just must have mugged up some dates ... you have no concept of alliances what a silly idiotic person u are. Half of the Indian princes aligned with the English..and the poor soldiers who formed the English army were Indians!!! I cannot teach u 'A,B,C... and cannot state the obvious anymore....go and do some research and then talk.
Fri, 2012-10-12 05:07 — snootycat... The butler did it? Hahaha good one. @kitty, what do u mean they were never royalty? Several dynasty starts with a non royal so if the British granted their ancestors titles, that made them royal right then. It seems the history u learnt at school taught u nothing about kings and kingdoms. Go and look up wiki...it says the Nawabs of Patuadi were princely rulers. A heriditary ruler is obviously a Royal person and his/her family is a royal family.
