Sridevi & Boney Kapoor with daughters Jhanvi & Khushi at English Vinglish premiere. Sridevi is in Sabyasachi . "English Vinglish" premiere turned to be the biggest premiere of the year so far where the entire film fraternity came to cheer this diva who is appearing on the big screen after 15 years. Sridevi graced the premiere with her family including Boney Kapoor, daughter Jhanvi and Kushi. Sridevi's 15-year-old daughter Jhanvi said: "I am so proud she is the coolest mom." Among other celebrities and women actresses who came to cheer Sridevi were Tabu, Jaya Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Shilpa Shetty, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kangna Ranaut, Tisca Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Ayesha Takia, Konkona Sen Sharma and Sonali Kulkarni. Shilpa who seems to be a huge fan of Sridevi told reporters: "Sridevi is in her own league and we are nothing in front of her." Madhuri came with her husband Sriram Nene. Madhuri was a rival of Sridevi in the 1980s. Madhuri said: "I wish her all the best." Besides the leading ladies, many actors and film makers came to support her and they included megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Ashutosh Gowariker, Ramesh Sippy, Sanjay Kapoor and Anees Baazmee. Directed by Gauri Shinde and produced by R. Balki "English Vinglish" releases Oct 5.

Aishwarya is the complete package after Sri and Mads IMO. She can act very well (HDDCS, Devdas, Guru, Provoked, Jodhaa Akbar, Iruvar, Kandukondain, Raincoat, Chokher Bali to name a few). Her dances are hugely acclaimed - she is the only one who can do western and classical equally well. And her beauty doesn't require any introduction.. she is known as one of the most beautiful women in the world. Added to that, her unfazed popularity right from Miss World days to post motherhood days.. she is iconic!! She has dabbled Tamil, Bengali, Hindi and English cinema.. also has international icon status. I think she will even cross Sri and Mads by the time she reaches their age...just wait and watch!!
Absolutely rubbish! Anon that commented on Sridevi got it correct. Ash is so not iconic. She can't act, dance or be as gracious as Sridevi or Madhuri for that matter! Period!!!!
It will be a hit for sure but whether it enters any $$$ club depends on indian mentality of star worshipping

LOL thanks. I never knew Sridevi (she had exited Bollywood by the time I became a fan of Bollywood) but she now has a FAN and a STAN in me lol. I'm gonna go watch all her films now, starting with ENGLISH VINGLISH.
@Voicewriter: haha nice! I've seen a lot of her old movies and Sri Devi is absolutely brilliant in comedy. I guess the reasons why she attracts so many viewers to this day is because Sri's very natural and down to earth. Though the comments on her old nose and her daughter's nose coming from pink"villains" here is downright ludicrous! What part of "Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, color and form" is so hard for their brains to be wrapped around!?? Sad. Indians have closet-minded ideas of beauty. I mean, Rihanna has a humongous nose but she's hot property in the States!

In past Sridevi was one actor who was called "man of the industry- an actress who can carry movies on her shoulders without important male lead" now 15 years later nothing has changed. She still has the same charisma, beauty, innocence, intelligence, bubblyness and the power of her acting to carry any movie on her shoulders. Its only her charisma and acting that even after so many years she made the public and fellow actors to watch her movie. "English Vinglish" may or may not be special but her presence in the film is the backbone of the film. She is one actress who can fit in any role without looking vulgar and on the same time looks sexy n beautiful. Kudos to her.
