scholarships should be for kids who really need them. Not for rich people who have no problem affording school. SAD.
I am sure there were bright girls who really needed that money to fund for their education.
People like srk feel they are entitled to have everything they are involved in.

And talking about Suhana.... it's not the first time Suhana was appreciated for her writing... years ago she was in news for her writing skillls... if you people dont know the truth... dont criticize! keep looking at this Picture and I'm very disappointed. I know recently whenever Shah Rukh has to take a pic with Gauri he always turned his face away, or pretend to look somewhere else, but I did not think he would do the same thing like he did here to take this Picture with his own Daughter, which is such a Precious moment in her life. Shah Rukh couldn't look straight at the Camera to give a Nice Family Shot Pic for is daughter ?? Notice how he turned his face away...it's the same thing he keep doing with Gauri. Strange Behaviour, but I know the reason why. WHAT A SLY MAN. Honestly, for the past months I can't stand Shah Rukh Khan. He makes me sick.

I don't think you know Shahrukh more than me, he is a very tricky man. I know him like I would know one of my close family. Beleive me.
I googled this award and apparently it's given to 50 Mumbai kids per year. To qualify, the kids have to get a mark of 60% in their last final.
Kids can apply for the award, and they are judged by a jury based on an essay they are to write for HT to explain why they should win. So Suhana won because of her essay.
This scolarship money is given so kids can pay for books and take part in extra curricular activities like sports. I don't think Suhana needs the money for that, some other kid probably would have benefited more from the cash.
BUT... HT probably knew what they were doing by selecting Suhana's essay, it's great publicity for their program and maybe now more kids and parents will be inspired to apply in the coming years.

you guys who believe Srk bought her the scholarship are bunch of idiots! think logically here, even though there's not much to think here.... His happy simply cuz his daughter received a prestige's award from Hindustan Times. It shows her level of talent and smartness. Any father would be proud of their daughter's accomplishments. On the other hand, those who never got a scholarships, they just mad :D maybe Srk can buy you 1 if you really ask nicely ;P

No matter what these children will do with their lives and what they may achieve, some will always suspect it to be due to their father's stardom and/or money.
No blame to little girl's hard work, but scholarship should be for ones who REALLY needs it, not for one (like Suhana) who's parents can afford everything
It's disgusting how people say he bought the scholarship for her. Just because he's famous, doesnt mean he'll go that low.
