She looks gorgeous in this picture! Who cares about skin color? Yes, she is very fair in this picture, but who cares? Who even cares if she bleaches and who's business is it, anyway? There are many dark actresses that are also considered beautiful, so I don't know why we are still with the "she's just successful because she is fair" thing.

why one needs to defend a celebrity each and every time

if you are obsessed about ash thats your problem
deal with it but stop bashing people - everyone doesnt have to praise aishwarya each and every time reality is reality you cant stop people typing what they see only by insulting them
if you are bored then skip essays however im sure if it would be praising aishwarya you would be allright even if it s an epic ....:)))

well for whitening issue,of course aishwarya is to be blamed for .everyone knows that without permission of actresses no producer,no company can make changes in their images and actresses are free to sue them if they feel disturbed for it however for aishwarya s case she wants to be whitened to this extent and I am sure it is she who orders to whiten her images so much
india should ban such posters/ads at once like it is done abroad and people should stop appreciating such personalities
first of all aishwarya is sending wrong and bad messages to indian society meaning that even though one is miss world once,even though once is referred as the most beautiful,even an indian has some fame abroad still she has to whiten her brown skin this is really discouraging that miss world aishwarya never stops whitening herself and she pretends the "fair lovely"
her speech and her acts are conflicting on one side she says she is comfortable with her complexion,she fiercely opposes fairness ads whereas on the other hand she is the one whose each and every image heavily whitened if she is so content with her colour why she plays her make-believe fairness game thru the years...look at the photo above look at her real self recently ...it is like one is real brown aishwarya the other is digitally created image ,an image derived of aishwarya rai's looks
i really condemn her for bleaching herself so much and trying to be the fair and beautiful indian but see she always failed abroad other than some arranged activities/shows/apperances and minor hollywood role she couldnt do anything there ,abroad, and couldnt make it as it is expected from her over the years because abroad one cannot prove herself with a whitened face and "most beautiful" impositions in hollywood talent is essential thats why there are many actresses there who are not that beautiful but much bigger name than aishwarya who are known internatinoally -not only in some countries but every corner of the world
anyway ...she will always be star of india -where it is so easy to deceive people with a bit of white foundation and crystal contacts-,and she will always be pretty indian abroad,lovely longines ambassador and regular loreal guest at cannes

oh boooo since when does aish's name guarnatee BO success when 98% of ARB'a movies have been flops. Kareena is a better actress than aishwarya, she doesn't need anyone (esp aishwarya ) to promote her movies.

Aishwarya is so lucky it is either people like her or are jealous of her. God has given her so much and He knows why he chose her over every other actress to bestow so much on.

Yeah @bebo_pclover20 it's very psychological. A representative for PONDS tried to sell my mum some bleaching cream while we were holidaying and shopping in Dubai Mall, my mum gave her a lecture of her life she won't soon forget lol, I actually had to beg her to stop because the girl didn't make the product, she was just selling it lol.

Sadly, skin bleaching is $400million per year business in India, that's why this was done to her ad. We saw her just last week and she looked beautiful but nothing like this. The people who should get the brunt of the blame are the ones who would actually buy anything based on how white her skin is looking in the campaign. In other news, vagina brightener (bleaching cream for the privates) has also been introduced in India recently.

India must be running short on white paint now after this whitewashing!

I am kinda liking that whole pale look with blue eyes, I know she doesn't look like that in real life but that's a great poster and if it was in my neighbourhood, I would never tire of looking at it!
