Mahesh Babu's 25th film Maharshi is off to a flying start at the box office with positive reviews all over on social media. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the socio-drama also stars Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in the lead roles. With films such as Srimanthudu and Bharat Ane Nenu, Mahesh Babu has been winning hearts of the audience with social issues. The film is performing extremely well at the ticket windows and has witnessed a fantastic opening at the box office. In Nizam, the film has taken thunderous opening with earnings of Rs 6.38 crores approx. 

In Chennai, the film has earned around Rs 23 lakhs, which is highest for any Mahesh Babu's film there. Maharshi is not only doing good in India but is also minting numbers in the USA. Mahesh Babu starrer has collected $511k (Rs 3.57 crores) from the premiere shows in the USA and the weekend collected is expected to be at the next level. The story of the film revolves around Mahesh Babu as Rishi who becomes a successful millionaire after a memorable college journey with his friends Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh. Later his life goes upside down that forces him to return India from the USA and to help the struggling farmers.
