The megastar Mammootty is currently on a short break before he heads to join the cast and crew of his highly anticipated film Shylock. The actor is all geared up to kick start the shoot of Shylock, which is helmed by director Ajai Vasudev. As per reports, superstar Mammootty is said to begin the shoot for his film from the second week of August. The film, Shylock was launched with an auspicious ceremony which was attended by the entire cast and crew and the film's title was also revealed during that time.

The director while speaking about the film had said that Shylock will be a mass entertainer which will be loved by the family audience. This film is said to have some high intensity action scenes as well. The character essayed by the superstar Mammootty, is called Shylock in the film. The film has an impressive star cast. Actors like Meena and Rajkiran will be seen playing crucial roles in the film. The film, Shylock also features Bibin George, Baiju Santosh, Siddique, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Harish Kanaran and John Vijay. The film will be shot mainly in Ernakulam and Coimbatore.

Megastar Mammootty starrer Mamangam's second poster was out recently. The film is historical saga made on a big budget. The film's budget is expected to be around Rs 45 crore, making it one of the most expensive films to be made in Malayalam film industry. The story of this mega budget film revolves around on a warrior who wants to battle it out with the Zomorin rulers. The film has a backdrop of the well-known Mamankam festival.
