Director Puri Jagannadh made a huge announcement yesterday about his next film with Vijay Deverakonda. After Dear Comrade, Vijay has collaborated with iSmart Shankar director and fans can't keep calm to know what's in the store next. The director took to Twitter on Monday to announce the same. He wrote, "It's official!!! PC proudly announced our next project with one n only Vijay Deverkonda directed by our Puri Jagannadh .. Lavanya presentation under the banner Puri Connects and Puri Jagannath Touring Talkies. Produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmee Kaur .. More details coming soon." 

According to reports, the project is said to be the same that the director had earlier offered Chiranjeevi and Mahesh Babu. Puri Jagannadh had narrated a script titled 'Jana Gana Mana' to Mahesh Babu, but he rejected it for the reasons well known to him. Earlier it was reported, Puri Jagannadh is planning to this film with KGF star Yas. Indian Express earlier quoted a source as saying, "Puri always wanted to make Jana Gana Mana keeping the pan-India audience in mind. The story is a take on the gruesome murders, rape cases and crimes that shook our nation over the last few years. The director sat twice with Yash to discuss the script in Bengaluru, and the duo will meet again soon for the final narration."
