Vikram's son Dhruv Vikram is all set to make his debut with the upcoming film, Adithya Varma, Tamil remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy and Hindi version Kabir Singh opened to massive response but the film equally received criticism over the scenes glorifying misogyny and violence against women. Well, in a couple of months, the Tamil remake, Adithya Varma is all set to hit screens and actor Vikram revealed that his son's film will be innocent and there are no attempts to amp up the shock value.

In a recent interview to Cinema Express, actor Vikram reacted to the backlash that Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy received. He said, "Adithya Varma will actually be a little more innocent than both Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy. Dhruv is more a college student than both Vijay Deverakonda and Shahid Kapoor. Even director Sandeep Vanga felt that Dhruv was most suited to play this role. Dhruv's character won't have the bravado or overt machismo seen in the other two films. Although it is a remake, there are no attempts to amp up the shock value. So, I feel the reaction won't be the same here."

Further talking about why his son Dhruv chose this film as his debut, Vikram said, "It's a remake of a cult film. I don't think it was one of those films that ran because of sensationalism. The audience in favour of Arjun Reddy was not restricted to a particular class or gender. Everybody loved the treatment of that love story."
