Imagine a world where men are out-numbered, raped, eve-teased, PMSing, whining about menism, have to compromise and being discriminated like billions of women face each day!

You’re gonna freaking flip! Right?

Well! Breaking the clutches of a chauvinist, male-dominated and gender biased superficial world we live in, Y-Films has envisioned a ‘Man’s World’ as a satire where all things that happen to women, are men’s problem now. Hence the Man’s World!

The webseries’ trailer had piqued our interests and the first episode just came out. We quite like the conceptualization and the theme, which is basically a mirror to our society. In the first episode, we get how Kiran feels that the world is unfair to men and women are reaping benefits under the ‘weaker sex labels’. Taking daily instances the show is aiming to bring out the disparity faced by women in real life.

Though switching roles and taking each others’ place is an ideated concept, the execution is pretty decent. Starring Gaurav Pandey in the lead, the series also will see Parineeti Chopra, Kalki Koechlin, Richa Chadda, Soni Razdan, Pritish Nandy, Rhea Chakraborty, Bhumi Pednekar, Miss Malini, Cyrus Sahukar, Shweta Tripathi, Priyanka Bose, Nidhi Singh, Naveen Kasturia, Meiyang Chang, Aditi Singh Sharma, RJ Malishka, Anupama Chopra and Aditi Mittal.

The four-part series supports Goal 5 of the United Nations’ Global Goals for Sustainable Development. Goal 5 is about achieving Gender Equality and empowering all girls and women, everywhere.

The next part will be available out on October 1st! The full series will also premiere at Jagran Film Festival!

Let’s see what the ‘kamla’ has in store for us. ( Watch out when he has his first period)

I am not sure how many women today want men to be chivalrous as shown here. Opening doors, men paying - do women expect that even today? I think I have come out of hibernation. I am single, not dated anybody till now and if I ever get to date, will not expect a man to open a door unless he does it by himself. Ditto for paying for food/drinks. Its not about women being independent and all, just that I dont want a man to pay if he is not my friend.

hahah awesome!
