Poor kid, no reason why he has to suffer media scrutiny now. Come to think of it, Akshay and Twinkle do a good job keeping him away from the media.

Just curious - why can't daughter light the pyre? Why only son? Why discrimination is shashtras?

- THATS JUST SO STUPID QUESTION TO ASK.

Anonymous's picture

I'm really offended by the rule that daughters can't perform the last rites for their parents. I cannot respect or follow those outdated 'traditions'/

Why does Akshay get the honour? He wasn't part of the family until recently. And the grandson has only been in this world for a couple of years , yet the blood relations/daughters get passed over in favour of anyone,as long as they are male.

WHY ARE ALL STAR KIDS OBESE?!

Anonymous's picture

All i can say is a quote i got stucked to when i saw The Crow and at a certain point it says: "Childhood's over the moment you know you're going to die. "

I have too lost my childhood friend when i was exactly his age,but unlike him,i couldn't (or my parents prohibited me) to attend his funeral,so i think i could understand how does Aarav feel. Not indeed a good moment for his mom as well being heavily pregnant.

Akshay's doing a great job for taking care of all of this, knowing he's also a very gentle and kind person.

RIP Rajesh Khanna. That's all i can say.

I know the pain that a child goes through when he loses his grandparent...its horrible...they become mature overnight..may god give him the strength to move on

Anonymous, please fly to Mumbai and ask the kid what he wants to be when he grows up first. *Eye Roll* I would hate to believe you watched '3 IDIOTS' and walked away learning nothing. RIP kakaji, please excuse the rude people on this board who are bothering your grandson by trying to predict his future. SMH.

U MADE MY DAY. GOOD ANSWER

Anon @ Fri, 2012-07-20 08:14 The Shasta's were written much much much before your grandmother's time.. when women wouldn't have been able to light up their dad's body on fire.. women are makers not destroyers by instinct..
One of my uncle died and his 2 daughters had no son.. so the girl lit up his pyre..no one objected..so its changing now a days..

it's really sweet seeing aarav cling to akshay. i like that 2nd photo of aarav's expression. it's speaking a 1000 words. heart aches for rajesh khanna's loss-his sweet, handsome, twinke-eyes naughty face is forever etched in my memory.

Anonymous's picture

i wonder why ppl don't talk about aarav being the future of bw in the same way as they do baby bachchan?

if you think about it, aarav comes from a hugely illustrious film background, and if acting really is in the blood then he is highly well equipped.

Aarav, go slow on the sweets buddy. U have potential to look really good and healthy.
RIP Rajesh khanna :-(
