Jaya's Complaint Against Rajya Sabha
Jaya is upset with Rajya Sabha as she was being focused on by the camera during Rekha's Oath-Ceremony. She feels that was unecessary and quite embarassing. Personally, I would find it very awkward as well.

To those people who are badmouthing Jaya, wouldn't you be uncomfortable if same thing happened to you. After all she is not at fault. It is her husband and Rekha who were carrying on the affair. Yet jaya is the one who i getting humiliated. Rekha is no saint either. Apart from countless affairs, someone actually committed suicide few days after marrying her.Jaya has embraced her old age in a dignified way. She does not have to hide behind cake make-up. When she was in the movie business, she was an incredible actress. I still remember her performance in Abhimaan or Guddi. It is sad that in still a women is judged by how beautiful or young she looks, not by her accomplishments(she is the mother of two well behaved children).
Yea, why does the Indian media do this? They always show ex's, former lovers when a star is speaking or accepting an award, especially i see this at awards shows....shahid kapur face when kareena take award, salman and ash or vivek and ash, rekha/ amitab, etc.
Exactly my point. This is not an award show that bollywood and their celebrity status alongwith their personal lives need to be dragged in. This is humiliating for both the people involved in it (Rekha & Jaya). Totally uncalled for.

Brown is beautiful my dear. It's not your skin complexion, but rather your features that make you look pretty combined with the right shade of foundation and other make-up products. If only fair was beautiful, then Beyonce Knowles would not be known as a beautiful woman. In India, there are so many actresses with darker complexion. Deepika Padukone is quite dark but what makes her face stand out is her smile. Just enhance your features and I'm sure you will never feel the need to become fair.
gosh this is just embarrassing.. TV people keep reminding them of the affair which happened so long back. any woman would be angry.
these TV ppl should grow up and let bachchans and rekha move on..

Rekha looks AMAZING. Sonam is right, Rekha never got her due but still carries herself with such grace and dignity.

jaya could have skipped the day, come on, what were chances of the lens passing onto jaya. pretty high. its so clear, that jaya so dislikes madam rekha. if affair ended in 1981, then thats long. problem is, there's lots of rumours of a on/off long standing relationship, that has stood the test of time. not the relationship of jaya and ab, but, rekha and ab. and hence the spin. if it was such an old story, it would not be such an media story, not even in india.

I know its wrong on media's part to project personal relations on TV. but Jaya should have not reacted. There is dignity is silence. Now the media will lap up Jaya's reaction and call her insecure and what not....
Gauri Khan should have sued ZeeTV for repeatedly showing her face while Shah Rukh and Priyanka were hosting the Zee Awards this year. But then again ZeeTV had a good reason why they did that. Don't we all know?
news anchor is right that this kinda footage is not expected from govt. tv broadcast Doordarshan and that too in Rajya sabha.It was an oath ceremony and not any award show where Tv chanels,cameramen,producers of events edit and show expresions of rival actors,or ex bf/gf.Media need to grow up now.
So true, media really sensationalized the Jaya Bachchan/Rekha issue needlessly and cheapened the whole event. We would expect this kinda stuff from the Filmfare awards!

jaya is still jealous that her husband has a soft spot for rekha, and that rekha actually maintains herself and gets called much more beautiful than her, such an insecure woman, but i also have to say that the media is dumb for putting her face up on the camera every two seconds

Rajya Sabha is not the same as a film awards show that thrives on sensationalism for ratings boost..it's a place of higher standards and decorum and TV coverage should reflect those standards..Members of Rajya Sabha also conduct themselves with more dignity than the other house (Lok Sabha..where it's a free for all fest!).
jaya is a spoilt old hen. of course, they are from the same fraternity. if she wants to run for parliament, then let her face all this. I am more outraged with the politician's illgotten taxpayer looting than this nonsense. Stop clucking Jaya!
But later in the day it was found out that Jaya B hadn't made any complaint ..it was some other MPs who got irked by this and made issue of this.

Media should stop this.
Even in the award shows, whenever Amitabh/Jaya/Abhishek/Rekha is on stage, the camera is focused at each other's face & expressions. These all are cheap, its like a story from even before I was born, though Rekha is still not married but that is her choice. Now, Amitabh's kids are grown up and he is a grandfather.....How long will they keep doing this? Until he dies? Or until his grand-daughter gets married?
I mean seriously...media just needs ANY STORY...any time.
People have relations in their life, they meet a lot of people, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work.
