'Ek Tha Tiger' has had the biggest opening ever in the history of Indian cinema. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif share their thoughts on the huge response to the film. Salman and Katrina spoke about the superlative Action scenes in the film. They also shared their disappointment on the film being banned in Pakistan.

Hollywood and Bollywood are two completely different genres. And Thank God , coz otherwise Hollywood would have taken over completely like it has in the rest of the world.
Bollywood caters to a different crowd - the 'masses', who wanna see personalities rather than characters on screen. It has always been that way, at least in the south, actors like Rajnikanth, Chiranjeevi, NTR etc are larger than life figures, Amitabh B too. No point comparing the two types of films... things wont change anytime soon. Audiences living on 100-200 rupees a day don't want to watch realistic or 'intellectual' films :-/

There can be good films even without making them massy..DCH, lagaan etc .. we have done it in the past... this is just an excuse to make lazy entertainers and mint money!

Salman has become so serious and patronizing, wonder how the young girls he dates tolerate being lectured to all the time!
It's sad that when Hollywood churns out brilliant movies such as the recent blockbluster, The Dark Knight Rises, our own Bollywood rides high on an actors stardom and makes senseless, mindless movie like Ek tha tiger. It's ridiculous when people say that bollywood is at part with hollywood. I mean really?? time to get a reality check. Most of our movies are nothing but rubbish. Of course there a few exceptions, but that does not take away from the fact that we may make the maximum movies in a year, but in terms of creativity, we are terrible.
I don't know when things are going to change for us.

Katrina looks good on screen, with make-up lighting, camera angles etc.
In real life she is very plain and ordinary not a stunner at all.
Salman totally stealing the show in looks department in real life even though he 46 yrs old and she 29.
indians in india are easily pleased, throw them a stick and they will play with it for hours.

lol the movie gets internationally SLAMMED! not that i'm surprised.....india is all about entertainment by ridiculous non actors. The actors should have a certain mass appeal and the actresses should have a history of modelling....and these days a porn history is fine too (leone). Ek Tha Tiger was a fun watch but it made no sense. I have a feeling even critics have given up.....what's the point to ridicule salkat's acting abilities when the nation loves them anyway? What's the point giving ek tha tiger a 2 out of 5 when it's one of the highest grossing movie ever? The only honest critic is: RAJEEV MASAND.

For people commenting on how Katrina gives the face about money and stuff, WTF, remember there are about 500 or more people that work on one movie. The actors don't get paid all the money and it will be really bad that all that hard work and no results. Thats y when a lot of films don't work it is hard on actors, producers, directors, etc. and sad. Also, she has said it more than once that she doesn't want the people who work who the films she does to be let down.

Its dropping because of Ramadan. Watch what happens on monday. His fan base is huge and for him to get 33Crores just on the majority of non-muslims is crazy. Salman competes against himself. And Dabangg 2 will be breaking Three Idiots in December.

Sure now blame Ramazan for it! Muslims are not a majority in India and ending of Ramazan will have no big impact on the collections of this movie. The negative word of mouth will crush it. First everyone was saying "it will break 3 Idiots record", now everyone is saying "it broke Ra.One's single day biggest collections and 1st weekend biggest collections record" (and that also just by a small margin by the way)...good to know that Salman Khan's biggest ever movie just manages to break by a small margin what's considered as an "average" movie for SRK! If Ra.One that was holding two big records till release of ETT was just an "average" movie of SRK in terms of BO collections, think what will one of his up coming all time blockbusters will be!!!
But it is funny to see Sallu fans first banging the drum about ETT breaking 3 Idiots record and now saying ok it won't but Dabangg 2 will do it, sure in your dreams only, haha!

What are they happy about? Their film is getting bad word of mouth and the collections are dropping dramatically day by day!
That is the problem with Salman Khan films, a lot of people go to watch his films on the first day or even first few days because of all the hype and once they see it and get disappointed, they don't go again, the film reaches 100 cr+ collections and then drops like there is no tomorrow! Salman Khan films can never sustain themselves for more than a week and that is why they will never become like 3 Idiots. Films that sustain themselves long term at the box office are the ones with superb scripts, superb performances, superb music, and superb direction...not mindless films with below average everything except some good action scenes!!!!
WAIT TILL EID!! And WOW if he can bring in crowds for a allegedly bad movie which shatters BO records and creates HISTORY....JUST GOES TO SHOW HIS STAR POWER.
