Funnily enough that's the whole point of the song and probably the movie. Rani obviously has to choose between the random guy who's great for her on paper and a guy she finds very very sexy. The song overtly points out female desire which most desi people think does not exist lol!
Why are people saying she copied Vidya? Vidya can't dance to save her life! LMAO. Vidya couldn't belly dance if her life depended on it. And Vidya hasn't danced like this in any movie. Vidya can't do commercial and comedy/romantic movies. Anyone remember Heyy Babby/Kismat Konnection/Bhool Bulaiya?
Have the makers of this movie thought this through...on the one hand, the movie itself looks very interesting, funny, great acting etc. and a family movie type but on the other hand the songs are more suitable with a movie like TDP which was not aimed at a family audience...so why!?! Imagine a typical Indian family scenario - I don't think these songs scenes would be so comfortable to watch with children and adults together - right ya wrong ki baat nahi hai but that is our typical family scenario - so keeping that in mind they should have dialed back the skin show in the songs. It's like they wanted to showcase that Rani can do everything - but those who like good acting do not need any proof that Rani is a splendid performer who can execute ANY role.

For me it's not the skimpy costumes - for a long time I was trying to figure out what it was in this song as well as the Dreamum song that made it seem Vulgar and now I got it - this is only my take - pause at 1:28 of this video and you'll see it. The placement of the legs - I find it vulgar and awkward. Dunno - just the way they are spread and how Rani is doing that movement is not graceful at all. This is the same reason I found Chikni Chameli so vulgar too - Katrina is awkward to begin with and she was speading her legs so inelegantly and made the whole song vulgar. Rani of course has got all the other moves down pat, and is any day better than Katrina on all fronts, but this leg movement made the songs vulgar for me.

not vulgur, and rani has done a lovely job in the dancing part however doesnt look aestheic .. she looks over excited in doing way too many things.. i mean she lacks the grace while dancing.. she jus puts too much energy and changes the actual step .. like the beginning part where u need to move only the chest not the whole upper body! and then the clothes are not really complimenting her.. shes lookin stout.. havin said that i do think she dances very well but not like madhuri n ash!!! pls!! madhuri she does it effortlessly .. ! shes at a diff level.. :)
Very frankly the songs does not excite me as much as the title of movie does, Aiyaa. The first look or trailer of the movie was totally disappointing as some anon has mentioned that there is lot of vulgarity and cheapness in this movie. Rani is a fantastic actress and at the stage of her career, i would have loved her to see in some meaningful cinema rather than watching a sleazy movie like this one. This was not expected from her.

I'm sorry but I am not seeing any vulgarity.
It seems like actresses are all of a sudden feeling the need to show skin and be vulgar after Vidya did The Dirty Picture. This was really wierd and disgusting to watch however Rani's belly dancing is amazing. The other parts... not so much.
This is the most sensuous number..They have not crossed the line to vulgarity!! And the dance is just out of the world!!
I consider myself quite a modern woman of the world, and have certainly seen movies with wayyy more skin show than this. However, for some reason, I am quite embarrassed watching Rani doing these Kamasutra like moves in the name of comedy. I am conflicted on this, on one hand she has done this well, on the other hand, did not expect this from her and can not get over the vulgarity.
Her belly is just perfect for Belly dance.... yup it cud hav looked better if she wud hav some inches taller...
But her performance is much much better then HALKAL JAWANI type items...

Awesome is the word . If u think this is vulgar then it means u cant appreciate art and you definitely don't have the eye for it . For all those who say she is fat if u do not know about belly dancing pls get to know and then speak . Most belly dancers have a flab to show off and healthy women are considered to be sexy and not the skinny ones .
Watch the video without turning on the volume and you'll notice how vulgar the entire song looks. I am not commenting about the dance...but on the whole the song is very vulgar. Never expected this from Rani at this stage of her career. Wonder what must have forced her to do such acts ? Desperate at 34 ?

To all you guys saying her belly should be more toned etc. A "belly" dancer should have a soft stomach. Not abs. Traditional belly dancers are always on the larger side. It's only the contemporary style of belly dancing that has these stick thin girls.
You gotta have a belly if you wanna shake it ;)
