Guys don't get too happy...recent few films of Salman Khan have been working cause they have been mindless, scriptless, story-less movies for which not acting was required...if this movie has a script, a brain, a story and requires good acting, then both it and Salman will fail, like his back to back failures before 2010...why? Cause acting isn't Salman Khan's cup of tea!
As we all know, he had a crappy decade in most of the 2000's after tasting success in the 90's. He was all but written off, making substandard movies like Shaadi Kar Ke Phas Gaye Yaar, not even close to being on the same level with what SRK and Aamir were doing. Add to that his bad reputation as a bully, woman abuser, hit-and-run killer, and poacher of Black Bucks and Chingara. Things couldn't have looked much worse for him!
His PR agent Reshma Shetty must have enlisted some very aggressive tactics, she was the one who was credited for turning him from a "zero" into a "hero". I remember post-Veer and before Dabbanngg internet was flooded with tons of aggressive fake IDs full of worship for Salman "God of poor and needy peoples", as if he was the second coming of Jesus Christ. Most of these were written in really broken English, possibly to insinuate that the writers themselves were poor and needy (but still had computers). And I also noticed that a few actors and one actress was agressively targeted online at the same time as we continue to see to this day. This was puzzling, I mean for it to happen so suddenly and after movies like Veer, Yuvraaj, etc, when he was washed up... I could have seen it if this sudden and flood of support came AFTER a success like Dabbanngg, but the timing and intensity was waaay off, not to mention the sheer number of "Salman's Army" that popped up overnight. That started a craze, bandwagon mentality set in, and there we have it! As Dale Bhagwagar, media manipulator and PR agent for Biggg Bosss recently said: "PR are the new Kings"!
I don't think it's a coincidence that one film reviewer recently pointed out that to say anything against Salman "bhai" on the internet, you'll need a bodyguard!

LOL he;s always had a connection with the mass, its because he's relatable, and the mass has always loved him. It's not PR its the people that speak.
on a side note, this movie does not seem to look good.
