I agree with your point of view , sujata. People just love to make snide remarks about abhishek's acting. He does not have charisma of a superstar and box office pull, I agree. But he is certainly a very good actor and in the league of ajay devgan, aair khan, srk and hritik. Just "good acting " in a movie does not make it a superhit. People are just looking for "reasons" to downplay him, they say all his hits are due to other actors. If you think that way, then people should also not count ZNMD and Agneepath as Hritik's success, or give him any credit for it. ZNMD had Ajay, Farhan and Katrina (who is super popular) as well, and Agneepath has Sanjay Dutt as the evil Kancha Cheena(whom people are comparing with gabbar's evilness), Rishi Kapoor who are great actors and Katrina as the energetic performer in Chikni,+ the hype , all gave the movie a tremendous opening, not just hritik's good performance

I see your point, but the question is what else will abhi say when the journalists ask him that question? I am sure he did not bring up aishwarya's name, they must have asked her how is she doing as a mother. And every mother, how rich she is, will like to take care of the baby herself. So please try to think about any news first before feeling annoyed

@Sujata... If dhoom3 is a hit it will definitely be so because of AAMIR KHAN just as dhoom 1 n 2 were hits because of John n Hrithik respectively. Bol Bachchan has Ajay Devgan who has been delivering hits after hits. So he will still be riding on the luck of others.
@BOLLYWOOD I can see your point of view, but I have another way of seeing it. You say Dhoom 1 and 2 were hits because of John and Hrithik respectively. I don't quite agree with that. If that was the case, why did John have so many other flops in his career? Why does Hrithik give disasters like Kites? Dhoom1&2 were blockbusters because of the incredible entertainment value they carried. Those films have an ensemble cast and each one of them deserves credit for the success. And so does the crew. A film is a cumulative TEAM EFFORT. Everybody who is a part of it deserves a share in the success. As for Aamir Khan, even he could not make movies like Mela, Mangal Pandey, Dhobi Ghat successful. :) Don't cast him in D3 (for instance). Cast any other actor. Just make sure Dhoom 3 is as entertaining as its prequels. It will still be a blockbuster. Because people come to watch entertaining movies, not actors:)

Jaya is pissed because her husband is always doting over his daughter in law. No woman will like that. Even if the intentions are pure, which wife will be happy if her husband is always gazing lovingly at his 'beautiful' DIL. ALWAyS see any picture of AB sr and Ash. Quite weird.

She is almost always caught with her mouth open (talking) and/or angry/grumpy/irritated!
Why is she angry all the time? She is one of the richest women in Bollywood with a loving family, grandkids etc. She has everything to be happy about. And yet this woman is always angry!

Abhisheks BEST performance is a regular actors normal performance, so even at his best he's still just doing average work. He hasn't done exceptional roles he has done average work nothing where u would say omg did you see his acting. He is mediocre, he doesn't command any presence on screen. Yes and the box office to some degree matters because if people like your acting and they like your performance and they like your entertainment people will come to see it. Example: Dabang, Ready , Bodyguard .... i love salman but these films interms of acting and script were very poor, yet people went to see it because Salman has a certain star power that connects with the audience,so does aamir so does even ranbir now, I don't think there are many people who see Abhishek and are dying to watch his movies. He can't carry a movie on his shoulders he usually needs his dad or wife to be around, and even now his movie "bol bachan" he has to use his name to draw attention and bring in ajay devgan (huge draw ...e.g singham) so that'why people will see it not stricktly for AB.

I agree with you anonymous. You forgot some more good performances like Sarkar (1&2), Paa, KANK, Bluffmaster. He has a good off-screen persona and is talented and for me that is enough. But in Bollywood, what matters is box office and only box office. His upcoming films are Dhoom 3, Dostana 2 and Bol Bachchan and they are all commercial potboilers so he will in most probability have box office success.
And Jaya is a normally serious person. That's why she appears 'angry' all the time, though that is not necessarily the case.
Abhisek was thrust into the limelight by his father, he did not want to be in the movies, he made him. Out of the whole Bachchan clan, only AB Jr comes across as a decent human being. Too bad he has no charm and likes to eat when other actors are dieting, working out building six packs. He would have done better in the 70s and 80s when fat but good actors like Sanjeev Kumar were appreciated.
If one has to time travel back to the 70s when Jaya Bhaduri was playing the roles of sweet girl next door with oodles of charm in such movies as 'Guddi' and 'Uphaar', one would never have guessed that sweet girl would turn into such a grumpy old lady! In almost every picture Jaya looks mighty pissed as if the whole world has done her wrong and owes her and apology and a foot massage. Lighten up lady, life is short.
i so agree with some of the comments here.. Jaya Bachchan is so bloody full of herself and has a major attitude problem.
To the anon below.. given a chance many actors of todays generation could have done GURU, BnB Ravaan etc. Not that these are great movies except perhaps GURU..but the likes of ranbir kapoor n ranveer kapoor n to an extent ptrateik babbar could have done these movie far better and made them bigger hits!!!

I agreed with you 100%. Wish him all the best with Bol Bachchan. I saw the director on an interview. He said that the movie will show Abhi and Ajay the best on screen jodi ever, even better than Abhi and John in Dostana. We just have to wait & see if we agree with the director. Anyway, it sounds like it will be a funny and entertaining movie.

Aishwarya Rai is a hands on mother. Recently we met Abhishek Bachchan and he told us that she was looking after the baby herself. She hadn’t enlisted the services of a nanny. She does everything for the baby right from massaging, bathing and feeding her. And that keeps the momma busy all day. But she isn’t complaining because the joy of being a mom is something else. And she wants to experience it to its fullest. We agree and laud her efforts completely.

oh god i am so tired of learning about how this woman is supermom. first she was lauded for pushing the spawn out of her rather than c-sec (because she is the only one to ever do that, right?). now for years we will have to hear how she is the perfect mom. of course she has time to do everything for the spawn since she is loaded and doesn't have to rush back to work, she has servants to do everything from prepare her meals, cook her food, wash her toilets and bathroom, - she does not have the schedule of a normal busy mom who has to cook , clean and run a home all by herself. but still she will project herself as some kinda supermom ughhh
