Aisha finally releases in most cinema's today! It has to be one of the most awaited movies of 2010, mostly because of its chick flick tag! whats your opinion? Share your thoughts pinkvillans :) Aisha is a romantic comedy film directed by Rajshree Ojha and starring Sonam Kapoor and Abhay Deol in the lead roles. The film is a modern day adaption of the 19th Century British novel, Emma by Jane Austen set in the upper class society of Delhi, India.

Sonam was awesome..i was just staring her..she gave a power packed performance..loved her in every single frame..Movie was very entertaining..i enjoyed a movie after ages
movie overall was fun to watch. Amrita, Cyrus did gr8 job. sonam just ok. Abhay Deol totally wasted. just wish there were more scenes fro Abhay. he is such a cool actor. must watch for girls atleast once. the movie is shallow, though some funny moments perk it up but its a very shallow movie. girls will like the clothes n the silines which i did too.
have watched clueless and emma both..though the story isnt all that great, these movies were good cos of the lead actors alicia silverstone and gwyneth paltrow..it was completely sonams film but i think she dint do justice to her role..i felt emotions and most importantly passion was lacking..where as u cud feel abhay doing a great job the gifted actor he is and all others were good as well..sonam has a long way to go, she definitely has it in her but she needs to concentrate more on improving her acting skills from now on..i felt it was kind of boring cud have been better..
I thought the outfits were alright... soman was ANNOYING.. and the show was stolen by Ira Dubey.. the sidekick that was the star.. and lisa haydon stole my eyes in every scene.... It wasn't soo bad.. I just think they built a lot of hype around the story and fashion.. but it was mediocre.. and the fashion was merely product placement!
I juzl uv dis movie...itz very entertaining and allda actors hav done very well esp Sonam kapoor,,,shez fantastic actress and abhay deol, hez superb....luv their chemistry ...lol im watching AISHA again n again...I think m addicted to dis pair.<3

awesome clothes.....but the movie drags. Abhay has not been utilised well in the movie. I just couldnt connect with Sonam's character.....
i said before that it was going to be style over substance and knew they were going to ruin a classic. i was soo right. sonam should take a break from acting.
I loved the movie...its a must watch for all impulsive shoppers...also, who love clothes & fashion. Storyline is simple but the movie is fresh and Aisha's (Sonam) life, though shallow, looks like a fairytale. The chemistry between Abhay & Sonam is rocking. They actually look like to be in love. They must do some movies together. Its a thumbs-up from my side too.

Awful movie. Sonam's acting was terrible. Anil Kapoor wasted a lot of money on this movie.
Oh, and I didn't particularly mean either Konkona or Aishwarya before some stans jump on me for comparing. I just meant a blend of 'off-beat' acting talent and super commercial looks.
The movie was like a never-ending fashion catalog. Boring and pointless.
Plus, Sonam lost whatever spark she had in Saawariya and Delhi 6. I loved the girl in both the movies. I used to think she was going to turn out be like a mix of Konkona and Aishwarya because unlike the other 'off-beat' actresses, she fits the commercial bill aesthetically. But, something just went wrong. She was so terrible in IHLS and this movie. I don't know.....
I guess being a aisha/sonam fan i was expectin much more from the movie!
everyones role was prefect, they played their parts well, music was great and the new jodi of sonam-abhay looked great! but i guess somethin was missin from the story!
special mention should go to ira N amrita, esp. amrita who plays shefali, i loved her in the movie! so far this year i think she the best debutane female! wouldnt mind her gettin best debut 2010! shes like omi from 3 idiots last year, not the lead role but great potential!
Movie was not up to expectations, and Sonam seemed like she was being herself--a spoil brat with a silver spoon in her mouth. Sonam's slightly annoying and OTT acting was matched by an equally poor storyline. But I would like to point out that Ira Dubey and Abhay Kapoor were excellent. In conclusion, as can be said about many movies these days, more gloss than substance.
its an average movie..i felt it to be better than IHLS though..yep Sonam kapoor really needs to concentrate on her acting than flashing a great wardrobe each time!..and all the other actors have done their job better than her..and abhay deol is wasted, he is such a fine actor he should have been give more screen time..everytime he comes on screen he is treat to watch!..i felt the movie to be watchable cos of him...

The movie sucked big time. No story line, absolute zero. The worst part of the movie is Sonam Kapoor, everybody else in the movie seemed better and acted better. The the best thing about the movie is Abhay Deol, excellent actor. Yes there were good clothes and sandals, but if I want to see those I would rather see a video on youtube or see the BCBG or Prada site. I spend money on movie tickets to watch good MOVIES and not to watch good CLOTHES.

absolutely LOVED the movie.oh my god.abhay-sonam make the best on screen pair with each other.they should do more movies together.preferably a full on love story with full on intimate scenes. :D
Simply loved the movie
the movie wasn't bad but it didn't live upto the expectations. the casting and acting was very good, sonam's acting was good, so was amrita, abhay and cyrus but the problem was editing, and to some extent script writing. i'll give it a 3*/5

I loved this movie! Sonam was amazing!
I absolutely luved this movie!! all the cast acted brilliantly especially abhay, sonam and amrita... abhay-sonam chemistry was terrific... the visuals were excellent.... storyline was a bit simple but they were able to pull it off. 4 out of 5 from me.
haven't seen Aisha yet, but movies like this definitely need to be made in the future, especially cuz their trendsetters and gives us girls a chance to relate to sumthing more realistic then the traditional or commercial love story movies or even action flickks. I can't wait to watch it as i'm exicted to see the outfits.
