It's 2013....let's move...

Bollywood is a sexist patricarchal industry - Madhur could not make a film within the contract ie 2 months and kept changine scenes/script as was evident in the hodge podge flop movie. Ash had no problem completing the movie within her contract. He is to blame not anyone else. Ash continued to work during that time as per her other contracts - ie Loreal, Lux etc contracts.

My long post called for lot of brickbats. Why is every one making it personal against me?
I wrote what I observed on public platforms. I wrote about all these examples to make a point i.e we can see patriarchy Bachchan family. Everybody is free to do what they want(ofcourse with in the law). The reason why I chose this particular person was I heard her say again and again about being exemplary Indian women leading ideal life. I dont understand how it is exemplary Indian women life to be perpetuating Patriarchy, which is the root cause of extensive moral policing on women in India.
Don't care what they say I'm with you on this one. You're correct it's the reason of giving men too much power over women is the base of this whole discriminatory things happening against women in India
may u all haters be blessed with peace and harmony... she will keep rocking..
She is number 1 in my books!
I was only talking about PRODUCERS(UTV here) who put their money on line. I only said why she did not feel it necesary to reveal it to her producers(UTV here) by herself rather than UTV coming to know via twitter.
To me, all the examples I pointed out seem like, your mother or father sitting along with you in performance reviews with the boss and negotiating. It is awkward and does not exactly leave a good impression on you.

@femalequixote Happy new year!
@did you personally see him abuse her? do you have any proof?if yes show them if not don't make up stories without having any evidences.
________________
From your insensitive way of commenting, I must presume you're a male, or an extremely biased fan. You're awfully similar to Indian police's lackadaisical and prejudiced way of dealing with rape and sexual abuse victims, who, instead of swiftly acting on the victims 'charges and complaints, actually begin to doubting them, or mocking them, delaying the legal procedures, or even blaming the victims themselves, etc... And no sane woman would lie about something as painful as rape, domestic violence or physical & emotional abuse from men, especially in a mysoginist country like India, where women are considered some sort of second grade citizens.
[sorry for sounding too harsh perhaps]
The question is back to you now:
Do you have any proof that there was NO abuse in the aforementioned case? Yes? Show them, please. No? Then forever hold your peace. But perhaps it would be better instead not to mingle too much into certain aspects of celebrities' private lives, and try to live ours instead. :)
Happy New Year, PV peeps!
queen of bleach obsessed fans otherwise no one admires a lady like aishwarya who promotes fairness in india having brown skin herself

Why is everyone worried about Ash issuing a statement? How does it matter? Who is she to issue?
We can see the patriarchy in its worst form in Bachchan family itself. Respecting elders is one thing. Losing your identity and not having a voice of your own is another. She is a SHAME on today's women. She herself is proclaiming that she led exemplary life. I am curious to know what does she mean by exemplary life. Here are few examples of Patriarchy in its worst form perpetuated by Ash.
1. There was an issue about her stomach Tuberculosis etc. The article was done in a bad taste. She chose to keep quiet. Amitabh Bachchan relentlessly posted about it in his blog and asked times editor to apologize. Cant Ash fight her own battles? Is she not strong enough to stand on her own ground?
2. Then came her pregnancy. Who announced it? Amitabh Bachchan on twitter. Here is the most unprofessional behavior. There were UTV producers who kept money on line in this picture. Was it not her responsibility that she speak to them personally first? They are the ones who are going to pay fees for her. Does today's working women behave like this? Hell No.
3. Shobha de critcized Ash's cannes appearances. Who defended? Again Amitabh Bachchan on his blog that top professionals worked on attire. Come on.
4. Ash has been part of the industry for so long. We see her attending the functions. Abhi is tightly holding her hands all the time. Cant she walk on her own? Who is she scared of? Is she scared of people around? Do all the the wives go out with hand in hands with their spouses to your office functions? Do your peers have any respect for you if you do so?
She is comfortably sitting in her bahurani mould. Once upon a time, she had a career of her own. She did her best to erase that. The only identity she is modeling is bahurani.
She is conveying that " She has a family that supports her. She is scared to death of going out alone. She cant fight her own battles. Let alone fight, she does not have voice of her own". This is exactly what stone age women did. She is iconic stone age woman.
She the most non assertive and non committal human being I have ever seen. Please for heaven sake dont use words such as 'exemplary' for her. It is great disservice to today's assertive and independent women.

hahaha you sound like a woman who is all alone in their life...if you don't have a beautiful protective family you should keep quiet
PV publish this...
====================================
The points she's made are so far correct there's no point in being in an overtly protective family if you cannot take your own decisions and breathe freely without the fear of being scrutinized and controlled. In Aishwarya's case it seems like she's being controlled too much after marriage.But we could be wrong about it somewhat too but who knows ?when you don't have much freedom to go about your professional and personal life it could make people get stressed and long for a more independent life too. But these things could be extremely normal for some others and I guess it all depends on your personality. In my case I like the protectiveness of my fiance but at the same time I would like to make my own decisions and speak for myself. I don't like being so controlled and protected even by my own parents I always value having my own mind asking for advice from other only if needed, but it's strictly if it's needed otherwise I'll do as I please. But I'm always being careful not to take any irrational decisions.

*******************************************************
You are one sad little human being who spends too much time mucking up negativity in a celebrities life. You've wasted your time as well as ours to prove a point which has not base whatsoever!!!
If Amitabh Bachchan wants to post everything about his daughter-in-law, pregnancy, delivery, appearances, sickness, IT IS NO WAY YOUR BUSINESS!!! How can you even say that Aishwarya has no voice? she chose to stay quite in most circumstances and avoid media attention, perhaps she thought it was not necessary to make any statements, there was after all no truth to those rumors. Her pregnancy was such a private thing, how can you expect her to shout from rooftops announcing it? Regarding UTV's movie, Aishwarya signed a 45 day non-stop schedule with UTV for Heroine, UTV delayed their schedule, so what? she should not have her personal life just because a producer and director played unprofessional?? she didn't leave the movie they stopped filming, she was still willing to complete shooting, how is that unprofessional??? + she returned Rs 20 lac (signing amount) even after shooting for the film for 12 days. But you just practice selective distortion don't you??
I must say for a feminist you fail miserably! You chose to support your charade of mediocre beliefs without knowing the complete truth to it. Please get your facts right, stop judging Aishwarya and stop making vague statements calling her a bad example to Women, if you're such a better example get off your seat, stop writing on blogs and Bollywood posts, do something actually worthy as an example. I just pity you.
@Mon, 2012-12-31 09:08 — Anonymous
great analysis you have a point there
Hopefully people will endeavour to mind their own ps and qs instead of monitoring other people's lifestyles and personalities so closely in 2013. If you want to hold your husband's hand/wife's hand in public in 2013, go ahead and do it...it's nobody's business and if you want to blog about your daughter-in-law constantly, go ahead and do it, it's nobody's business. Happy New Year!
She has been awarded the most flabulous award , funny no mention of that!

PROUD OF YOU ASH....
Keep trolling her posts and repeating the same harsh rhetoric, Aishwarya is still going to make an official statement about the Delhi Gang rape but all you'll ever be is mean.

who cares...she makes a couple of list out of so many lists in states....
she is silent about the death of the gang rape victim..... just a useless actress with white paint makeup
=================================
I thought the same way too..... Her mom in law has been very active in protests and all that regarding the rape and the bahu didn't utter even a word being a woman, I wonder how she stays so tight lipped about that horrible incident it amazes me.....Having said that Aishwarya never was a woman's woman she always was a man's woman even her best friend is a man some doctor, she doesn't give a shit about women it's pretty obvious.It almost looks like she has a strong abhorrence towards her own gender.
who cares...she makes a couple of list out of so many lists in states....

She is gobsmackingly beautiful,extremely talented and versatile and a global super super star!!LOVE HER..PERFECT in every way!
