In a frank conversation with Komal Nahta, Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan reveals the pain he feels when his films flop and when he is not given proper credit for his work just because he is super star Amitabh Bachchan’s son. He also talks about the joy of being a father and about his next release Players, which releases on January 6, 2012. Why Abhishek Feels Hurt “I feel very bad when people say that I am in this industry only because I am Amitabh Bachchan’s son… that all my hard earned money is not something that I deserve. Don’t they understand that I have to know something for the producers to say that they want me for a film of theirs?” “People who tweet like that or criticise me should understand that just like them, I am also human. Do they think that stars don’t have hearts? It hurts very badly.” On Coping With Flops “After every flop film, facing the world becomes a big problem. After the failure of (Mani Ratnam’s) Raavan I could not shoot for at least 10 days. It was nice that (director) Rohan Sippy understood and cancelled the scheduled shooting of Dum Maaro Dum(back then). It is very tough to face the world after every flop.” On What Brings Abhishek Immense Joy What makes Abhishek the happiest these days is greeting his little daughter and ‘talking’ to her after a hard day’s work. In the absence of a name for the baby, the papa addresses her as ‘bitiya’. Says Abhishek, “Aishwarya is doing a fantastic job as mother. I think she wants to enjoy every moment of motherhood, so it’s unlikely that she will return to acting very soon. But I’m sure, she would continue acting. I am the last person to stop her.” On Players “I agreed to do Players even before hearing one word of the script. That’s because I had been dying to work with (directors) Abbas-Mustan. That is why when they came to me to narrate the subject, I shook hands with them and said even before they could begin the narration, ‘Main ye film kar raha hoon. Aap kahani sunaye ya na sunaye’ (I am doing your film, irrespective of whether you narrate the script to me or not).” “That Players was a remake of The Italian Job was such a great bonus since Micheal Kane’s 1969 film used to be one of my favorites when I was studying in the US.”

its a shame that out of this article you have chosen such a title...there could be any other title for this but why do aishwrya rai's fan always have to degrade this man to put there idol on pedestal.before getting married to aishwarya he was ABHISHEK BACHAN and now he is just a husband of the most gorgeous woman.... compatibility is very important or else one partner always live an embarrassed life.

maybe you are right but it is so childish to hate someone because his wife is very pretty .......I think people should be fare to him and wish them luck and happiness ......
Raavan was flop because of abhishek!! Not because of Aishwarya, director of plot/climax whatever. Mani ratman is a respected person and this film was more about the guy than about aish. In guru Aish was is most promotions and barso re megha really made a hype. This time Aish was sent to the background and abhi to the front. What happens? Same movie flops in north but huge succes in south!! This to such an extend that Vikram(the south actor) got best actor award!!Abhishek was overacting and was not convincing...hes not the type of guy that should work in such movies and hes too fat, and his dance and sense of clothing is yuk. He is a nice person, but he should act! And not talk the way he does in every movie..you know what I mean?? He talks with a deep voice to come across as convincing...Abhishek was actually never bollywood material...he worked hard..but he doesn't have the looks of an actor. Amitabh and srk are also not extremely handsome, but abhishek was worse than that.I feel sorry for him..hes waiting fr dostana 2 which will feature katrina in it. This film does wel, because he looks funny (not only in the movie but also in real life). The reason wy dostana will get hyped is because john is going to show his butt and katrina might aswel do another item number

Yep. You please stick to bimbos like Katrina, Kareena, Deepika, Sonam's films and don't appreciate someone of Aishwarya's calibre. I suggest you also stick to those bimbos' topics and stay away from Ash's. You will be doing a big favour to all of us. Thanks.

There's not much to do with a month old baby....they sleep on average 20 hour

You must either be a man or you're a girl whos never had a baby to pass this senseless comment. Newborn babies (at least upto 3 months of age) sleep a lot yes but they cry a LOT for no reason, they need to be fed every 1-2 hours and cared for like crazy......I've had SEVERAL sleepless nights when I was caring for my newborn--and that continued till she was about 4-5 months of age. So, don't say things you know nothing about.

I completely agree with you ! Many people hate him cuz he got Ash .
It's the same with Brian Austin Green many people hate him and call him 'Megan's father' just cuz he married Megan Fox and Oh god! you would remember the hate Kevin Federline got when he married Britney Spears!
I remember people calling him names and sending threats and he was like the most hated man in America during that time.
Foot ball player Ashley Cole was hated a lot by the media and fans alike for marrying England's most beautiful woman and the pop princess Cheryl Cole they wondered how a black man could marry their 'English rose'!
When a not so handsome or a successful man gets to marry the so called 'most beautiful' woman or the 'sexiest woman' or a 'pop princess' people go mad with jealousy. It's these star's choices whom they marry and not the audience's choices. It's the same for women also till today how many people have been calling Suzanne 'droopy eyes' , 'skeletor' , 'druggie' etc. etc. and things like " Hrithik could so... much better I don't know why he married her " like stuff ? the list goes on and on.
My feeling is , Abhishek will overcome all his obstacles soon and emerge a winner despite all this hatred directed at him.
Ash seems to be rally happy with him and he's a good son who respects his parents and parents in law alike.
Unlike a lot of people, Ash knows what's really important and the most important thing to her is family. For her I think career comes a close second. Not that she doesn't care about her career I think she's so focused and so ambitious than a lot of other people and that's why she's where she is today.But I think she's the kind of person who's ready to give up all of that for her family. I've never seen any other actress in current times with such class and dignity that she has. Some people break another family in order to make themselves happy and Ash never did that. she never had affairs with married men and she never went against her parents. The way she's conducted her life so far is really admirable and inspiring for all of us. So no matter what the haters say I know Ash loves Abhi for who he is .

Hope Aishwarya doesn't sit at home all the time what will her endorsement say about that? She will need to come out of hiding sometimes.
